Re: Criteria for new spots - Every playground should be removed.
Playgrounds have no historical or otherwise significant impact.
For a child, playgrounds are extremely significant. They're a primary place for outdoor exercise and socializing with new and unfamiliar people.
For a parent, playgrounds are extremely significant. They're a place you can take a child to and let them unload an amount of energy while the parent may get to socialize with other parents, play with their child and reconnect with old favorite play equipment, or even just sit and relax for a few minutes.
A Wayspot doesn't have to be significant to everyone.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Those submitters make entire regions of the map **playable**. There are countless areas where there's nothing even remotely wayspot-worthy apart from trail markers.
You wanna know what a boring map is? An empty map.
Furthermore, what's in the pictures doesn't influence any of the games **in any way**. You could literally upload a picture of a pile of dog excrement and the portal or Pokestop would still be just as functional.
Re: Has the AI or Staff rejected all old edits?
I wish edits was visible in contribution management by now; so similarly when like everyone was asked to review old nominations, from 2021 and back, to confirm if you still felt they should be in queue and voted on; everyone should just have a chance to confirm edits and option to delete any you already know to be no longer necessary or revelant.
Re: Has the AI or Staff rejected all old edits?
So I just tried to submit a name edit for a local cricket ground, as they have a nice sign that displays the actual name of the ground which wasn't there last time I visited. BEFORE I even got the confirmation email to say I'd submitted the edit, I got an email from Emily saying it had been rejected, and only then did the email come through to say I'd submitted it. This is despite the fact that the sign for the ground is clearly visible on street view and would corroborate my name edit.
Re: Criteria for new spots - Every playground should be removed.
As a parent I can assure you I didn't spend most of my time worrying about child abuse happening at playground nor did any of the other parents I knew.
I'm not sure about the exact percentage but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of child abuse and **** offences occur from a family member of the victim or someone who knows them.
There are a million other things to worry about as a parent from the mundane to the ridiculous.
Pedophiles hanging around pokestops and portals is not one of them.

@XK150-ING please remember to treat others with respect on this forum.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
I personally find it difficult to believe that there is a secret cabal of money men at Niantic HQ gleefully rubbing their hands and throwing darts at pictures of Pikachu while John Hanke manically throws gold doubloons at people in the Tenderloin from the window of his Ferrari.
Sure they make business decisions that don't always make sense to us. I don't think they have a master plan of lessening Wayspots to control the in game currency though.
Routes don't give out incubators or lures as rewards.
If anything their remote raid changes took a system that was making money for them and lessened that so I'm not sure I can agree with Niantic being some sort of Shangri la for evil capitalists.
Taking a step back... They have made some odd choices concerning the removal of trail markers and how they are informing the people who submitted them. They have made some awful choices on how they have dealt with the Netherlands abuse and how they have dealt with the fall out. There is one comment on here that makes no sense and hasn't been expanded upon our confirmed by anything sorry from the comment itself.
I haven't seen a world wide trashing of trail marker Wayspots tbh
Re: you have the drawing tag and you dont accept the drawing nomination
For what it's worth, that's a great drawing. It's completely ineligible to be a wayspot because it's not a permanent display and is likely also in an ineligible location such as your house, but you are still good at art.
Maybe one day you can use your talents to create murals in public locations (if you get permission, of course).
Re: Valid memorial bench restoration appeal
Hi @ShinyApex-PGO I'm sorry for the loss of your friend but it isn't eligible unfortunately.
The other benches existing doesn't validate the existence of something ineligible existing either unfortunately.
Re: is there any way to get this approved?
That isn't what location sensitive is for. That should be reserved for cemeteries, abuse shelters, etc.
