Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Theres a certain amount of wayfarers out there that still are Not convinced that a wandering trail (represented by the trail Marker) should be a wayspot.
The fact is that a wandering trail almost every time is a great way of exploring and adventuring and meeting people.
Just because you can forceful remove a Sticker from a wandering trail doesnt mean that people can have trails removed.
Also this isnt anyway way of saying that people should Generally reject These wandering trails
I still think Niantic has never Made it clear enough for everyone
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Tbh, The only think I learned is to not make new nominations.
I have seen a lot of discussion about the abuse ladder and people not getting punished for no reason and stuff like that, which I really believed.
I assume that next time I do something wrong, I will get a (temp) ban. Besides the one nomination in 2019, that one was really bad, all my nominations were in good faith, and I really thought I was nominating good things. But even while the accepted ones(besides the one from this discussion) are still in game, I do something wrong apparently.
I understand that you cannot answer all my questions and solve my confusion, so I will try respond again on the received e-mail and hope I will get an non standard reply back.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
I did not say you were. I said the exact opposite. I said you never tried.
My problem is with your sentence "Unfortunately, stickers can be removed and are therefore not as permanent as the sign of the same trail.". You state that as if it is a fact, which it isn't. Had you said "Unfortunately, people who are unfamiliar with these stickers might think stickers can be removed and are therefore not as permanent as the sign of the same trail.", I would have agreed with you.
Re: Having g to close and re open games (pogo and ingress) to do more than 1 submission
this is a great example of how little niantic's teams communicate.
this is a reported bug that Thia acknowledged on Twitter and the ambos raised to tintino with screen recording videos clearly showing it.
it's also dead simple to reproduce yourself.
please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the issue before making comments like this that further erode trust in Niantic.
Re: Cleaning up trailmarkers after new guidelines
This is not an appropriate use of this forum.
There is no need for the mass removal of legitimate trail markers.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Is there a conflation of two separate issues here now?
@Spekkje-PGO Being dragged through the mess of the Netherlands abuse, receiving pointless 'warnings'.
Aaron's post which is at odds with how the community thinks.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
We must remain all on one and the same page. We have the existing criteria and content guidelines, the Giffard scale, etc.
This should be Niantic's opportunity to support their Wayfarers in what they want. If there were some legal or ethical consideration, it would be up to Niantic to convey this info to us with solid supporting documentation. It would not be appropriate for them to leave it to their data guy to drop a single comment in an existing thread in General Discussion.
It is also clearly wrong for them to endorse individuals' or groups' hit-lists. Their longstanding policies allowed removal only on serious grounds, not when an existing spot conflicted with the current interpretation of acceptability.
If they continue to act in bad faith, Niantic will simply lose more and more of their best supporters.
Re: Neighborhood Car Wash
These are precisely what I would use Generic Business for.
Re: Invalid trail markers
Another day, another message asking for considerate posting.
There is nothing wrong (in fact it is perfectly right) with people expressing their views on this topic.
However…..
Please do so avoiding personal comments.
Comments divisive between groups of Wayfinders.
Recognise that this is an emotive and divisive topic.
This is a topic that the Ambassadors are pursuing to regain clarity. The impact on the community is part of the issues being raised.
I have concerns about some of the related behaviours/motivation around this, centring on removal requests and will be raising this with the Wayfarer Team.
TLDR: Please chill a little 😎
Re: Orienteering Markers - Plymouth
Can I remind everyone that
we need to treat each other with respect.
that disagreements about in game activity has no part to play with validity of wayspots.
Wayfarer is game agnostic
