Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Personally I don’t waste time on them.
They are not optional in reviewing but if a category is not obvious then it gets other. I find searching for the right category that uses words that I wouldn’t use, just downright frustrating. So I don’t go there.
Re: Criteria for new spots - Every playground should be removed.
Playgrounds are one of the few types of things that are reliably available to be wayspots in suburban and rural communities. Niantic has a significant challenge with making these areas playable without resorting to allowing completely uninteresting things into the games, and playgrounds were partially a concession to making those areas more playable.
There's another argument for why playgrounds aren't generallyproblematic, and that's the interaction range of Niantic games compared to the size of a playground. There used to be a lot of discussion on the forum about how pins on playgrounds had to be placed precisely at the edge or just outside of the edge so that they wouldn't interfere with the playground itself. I did a study of this by looking at a lot of playgrounds and drawing a 40 meter radius circle around the center of the playground to see how far away one could be and still interact with the playground. As it turns out, most playgrounds are quite small, in the range of 10-15 meters in diameter, and it's almost always easy to interact with a playground from a significant distance. The interaction range for Ingress players is 40 meters, but for Pokemon Go it's 80 meters.
Here's one of the larger playgrounds in my area with three circles drawn over it. The inner circle is the size of a typical small playground. The middle circle is the Ingress interaction range, and the largest one is the Pokemon Go interaction range. As you can see, Ingress players have plenty of room to interact without being on the playground and PoGo players have four times as much space to interact... they can reach the playground from public property without even being in the park. I understand your philosophical argument for why playgrounds are problematic and I don't entirely dosagree, but I don't think it's much of an issue in practical terms.
(The first person to tell me that Ingress players need to be able to stand exactly on the wayspot will get a very strong "NO WE DON'T" from me. I will include screenshots of my Founders' badge, 375 million AP, and 850K resonators destroyed to establish my credibility.)
Re: Shouldn't little free libraries be an exception to the private residential property rule?
Not to mention: if this exception were made, literally every Niantic gamer would attach such a cheap box to their house, reducing the need to get outside, walk and exercise, which is exactly what Niantic aims for in their games.

"Sorry trainer, after a thorough investigation, we found that you didn't experience any issues with the raid battle. However, as compensation, here is a Futurama GIF."
Re: I want to know if everyone getting declined?
No.
@SeaprincessHNB-PGO Already offered advice on potentially getting help with your nominations.
Re: Before and after edits
This one bothered me for a long while before I could make the walk to get a new photo:
New picture isn't fantastic, but I think it's a significant improvement: needed to use a slightly weird angle because there's an encampment of the unhoused right there and I did not want to appear as if I was taking their photos without permission -
Upgrades not in voting for 3 weeks
I had 3 nominations ‘disappear’ over the weekend 24/25 Feb. They reappeared in wayfarer a week later . But have remained’ in queue’ - even the two that were upgraded (see pic). These have now been in queue with upgrade applied for 3 weeks now. Surely this isn’t normal/working as intended (or is very different to previous experiences of wayfarer system).
My daughters also play and on their accounts- they had 3 or 4 nominations also disappear during weekend of 24/25 Feb. They reappeared the following weekend, around 2nd March, like mine. One (daughter G) put an upgrade on one sub - it is still in upgrade now - and the other daughter (daughter A) put one upgrade on a previously disappeared sub then plus also on a sub made that weekend (3rd March). Both of daughters A’s in upgrade are still in queue 2&3 weeks later, so this is also an issue affecting newer nominations as well as the disappearing/reappearing nominations.
i am therefore pointing out 3 accounts that this is happening with. It might be two or even 3 separate bugs - 1. issues affecting nominations that disappeared and reappeared as none have moved into voting since reappearing 2. Upgrades not working on the disappeared/reappeared nominations 3. Upgrades not working as expected (ie taking2-3 weeks at this point still in queue after being applied)
Nominations Stuck With Upgrade NOT WORKING AT ALL
The affected nominations are completely stuck in the queue, with upgrades having no effect whatsoever.
There has been numerous reports of this for weeks and they keep being marked "working as intended" without acknowledging that there is clearly an issue here or explaining why some random upgrades would be intentionally rendered less than useless.
How many Wayfarers need to raise it and how long does an upgraded nomination have to be stuck in the queue before the bug is acknowledged?
Are the ambassadors aware of and raising this issue on our behalf? @Elijustrying-ING, @SeaprincessHNB-PGO, @kawin240-ING, @tehstone-ING, @Gendgi-PGO, @Tntnnbltn-ING, @PkmnTrainerJ-ING
My affected nomination was made 22/02, went missing, returned 02/03, was upgraded on or about 04/03, and is still stuck in queue 13 days later (and counting).
Others have made nominations that weren't affected by the dissapearing act at all and are still having the same issue with their upgrade doing nothing and their nomination becoming stuck.
Most nominations I made since (between 23/02 and 05/03) have been decided.
On 13/03 I upgraded a nomination made 27/02 that hadn't yet entered voting. It went into voting within 4 minutes (or less) after applying the upgrade and was decided within only a few hours (which is the typically expected behaviour of an upgrade).
Why are we being gaslit over this with clear evidence of an issue? We're not clueless noobs with unreasonable expectations. If this is "working as intended", I think we're at least owed an explanation as to why some of us are "intentionally" being penalised and robbed of the ordinary benefit of an upgrade we rightfully earned.
