Re: Wayfarer TEST
When you first logged into wayfarer you will have seen some images that explained a little bit about what makes a good wayspot. You have to look through these before it lets you see the review page. Once you've looked through them, that sets the flag that your account has passed the test (even though it doesn't exist now). Like I said though, it can take up to a couple of days for this to synchronise with Pokémon Go.
Re: Wayfarer TEST
There is no test. You do a little bit of onboarding and then you're good to go, though it can take up to a couple of days for your Pokémon Go account to acknowledge that you've done the onboarding.
Re: LDS and Niantic Games
Do neither of you see the humour in this?
The fact that one individual or maybe a few individuals got together had a brainstorm and decided to make all titles and descriptions aligned with the same message so that people catching pikachus, capturing portals, chasing monsters and derping after Captain Dopy would be filled with enlightenment via the medium of the Lightship Database.....
I mean there's a lot of humour in that.
In the same way there's a lot of humour when you think that either one individual or a few Niantic employees had to get together and write all this one day.
Routes that include a location meant for adult products or services
**** club, burlesque show, cabaret, gentlemen’s club, gentlemen’s lounge, adult store, sex shop, sex toy shop, adult video store, brothel, swingerclub
Prohibited Routes: Other Content Areas Unfit for Routes
Religion
Routes created for religious purposes are not allowed in Routes. Routes should be evergreen, not focusing on something temporary, so concerts or other events happening at a place of worship would also be in violation. We define religious purposes as:
Seeking to convert or proselytize
“Follow this Route to learn more about our faith”
“Tired of feeling sad? X deity can bring meaning to your sadness and your life”
“Come to our place of worship to learn more about X deity/faith”
Encouraging encounters with a deity
“At the end of this Route, you will encounter X deity that will change your life”
“If you want to meet X deity, follow this Route”
Soliciting donations for religious purposes
“Walk this trail to donate to X place of worship”
“X religion bake sale! Walk this Route to support our mission”
Encouraging Players to patronize a specific business
“Follow this trail to visit my favorite local coffee shop!”
“Best sushi in the city is at the end of this Route, follow to check it out”
Wanna dress like me? Check out this store to find the best deals”
“Cool new shop in town, definitely recommend checking it out”
Re: Another Niantics review where the community DID NOT decide.
No reasons on any of them. If the reason is the locations are in a database as don't put things in game here that would be nice to know. They were all Niantic voting.
Re: LDS and Niantic Games
Quite a few in the Mid-Atlantic have gone through at least the approved description edits - first ten results shown.
Re: New Forum, New Adventures, Same Explorer Community - Discussion
all i want is an RSS option so that I can just have a forum section, specifically news, piped to my RSS reader
Re: Really stupid question re Niantic ID
Your Niantic ID username doesn't have to be the same as your game username. If you want to create a different Niantic ID username, you can do so, just as long as you are using one of the linked accounts to the games when creating your Niantic ID account. I'd check out the information about creating a Niantic ID account and see the examples they provided in the images, especially the 3rd image (I'll include the link for that example, too):

Keep in mind that Niantic ID can only be changed once, so choose wisely!
Re: Exclusive New Pokémon GO Feature Comes to Explorers - Routes Creation - Discussion
I can rate any that I've previously walked either created by me or someone else in the badge section.
I've also been asked to rate any I walked today even though I've walked and rated them before.
Re: Why can’t an area for activity not be approved?
I would accept a rock formation on a trail that serves as a significant marker. Does it show up on a trail map? Does it have a local name or story that goes along with it? Is there lore around the rock? If any of these things are true, there is more than likely going to be mention of it somewhere on the internet that can be included in a submission. Otherwise, it's probably just a rock that the submitter likes (even if it is a big rock).
Re: Why can’t an area for activity not be approved?
No but a rock that size if you stress its not really movable, can be a physical anchor for a signless park but if one was going to try and make the rock the physical anchor, it would need to be clearly stated in the supporting and perhaps the description that it was going to be a physical anchor for the park and that the park lacked a more proper signage
Another possibility, that might work is to try and nominate it as a portion of the trail. It would be a long shot, but IMO should be workable because the guidelines for trails such as trail markers is little open ended and says "Etc" with the idea being that on a trail existence of POIs such as generic trail markers encourage both exploration and exercise for people to walk down the trail. I really don't see any difference in purpose between a prominent rock and a plain wooden sign with a green triangle on it. But I tend to be very lenient on trails so you'd have to get lucky and get a large number of trail encouragers like me.
On a different note, I see a soccer goal and picnic table in distance those might be easier to get accepted then a rock.
