Re: LDS and Niantic Games
Please refrain from spreading misinformation. The Wayspot you reported is not on the property of a private residential property. It is on a publicly accessible location with safe pedestrian access.

Re: Emily does a good job, but
When we review photo edits in Wayfarer, we cannot remove old photos, just accept new ones or not. If a photo is truly bad and should be removed, you can report to help chat. They have removed photos for me.
Re: LDS and Niantic Games
Well in the neighborhoods around here it is the homeowners responsibility to maintain that ****. I don't have a **** in front but I do have a city alley behind my house and I am responsible for keeping it clean and weed/plant/trash free. But in my case a PokeStop or gym would in no way interfere with a homeowner entering and leaving the property.
I have ALWAYS denied things in front of or near residential driveways. Interestingly enough I nominated 4 murals on the outer back walls of houses that are adjacent to main arterial streets and alleys, and Niantic rejected 3 out of 4 with no explanation (direct to Niantic voting).
Re: Clarification Needed: "Are any of these locations a duplicate of this wayspot?"
At first I had to go along with @HankWolfman-PGO here.
If you are asked about duplicates of a Wayspot, you are not supposed to flag things that appear to match each other, nor things that appear to be in the same vicinity as the Wayspot under consideration.
However, Niantic also instructs us to flag - as duplicate - things that are 'close by' that are serving as proxy for the same thing. That's how we are expected to handle for instance: nominations of individual play structures in the same playground.
There's always been a bit too much fuzziness there. A large park could contain many points of interest, but each playground could only count as a single one of these. Meanwhile, fitness objects in the same park could each be approved individually, and signs and disparate features qualified, too.
The photos here are small and blurry but if the objects are all merely proxies for the same plaza/picnic area only one should be accepted and all the rest should be flagged as dupes.
Re: Exclusive New Pokémon GO Feature Comes to Explorers - Routes Creation - Discussion

Missing routes still missing.
Maybe the memory cheats but I can't remember the Rate Route button being on walked badges list?
Elevation graphic is borked too.
Re: Exclusive New Pokémon GO Feature Comes to Explorers - Routes Creation - Discussion
There are many aspects of the closing of this forum that are going to feel sad, and satisfied at the same time.
i know it’s not been universally welcomed but this epic thread will finally come to an end.
Those are some very impressive numbers. I like to think an awful lot of people have had useful support over the past 9 months from all the sharing of info here. Creating in game content comes naturally to wayfinders 😎
Task well done.
Now if only the routes team had joined in 🙄🤔
Re: LDS and Niantic Games
Staying on the original topic with this thread, since my earlier comment I've encountered an additional eight identical edits made to different LDS churches across Alaska, some in very far-flung towns that would, to me, indicate either a serious coordinated effort by at least twelve different people in Alaska alone, or there's spoofing involved. It's implausible that one person has legitimately visited all of the cities, towns, and villages I've received edits for due to the distance, inaccessibility/remoteness, and tiny populations of these towns (less than 1000 residents). At the very least, it seems like it should warrant looking into who exactly is making these edits to see if it's one account doing this.
Re: what should I do to get a nomination approved ?
I can also offer help writing texts in German. There are 2 minor errors:
Description: Sehr lebendiger Verein instead of sehr lebendiges. The word Verein is gramatically male but you used the neuter form by adjusting lebendig to lebendiges instead of lebendiger
Supporting Information: Spielmannszug is written with 2 n
Also, you don't really say that you learn music in German. I would suggest changing it to playing or teaching music. It sounds less weird
I know, not that big errors, but every little bit better makes it less likely rejected once it actually goes to community voting
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Walk,
It might be a huge surprise to you, but people walk on trails. Walking is an exercise. Exercise is one of the three eligibility criteria.
Confederate Dog Park
In 1914, 8000 Confederate soldiers had a reunion at Ditman Park, in a Black neighborhood. They renamed it Confederate Park so the residents would remember.
In 2020, Confederate Park was renamed to Springfield Park.
I've worked since then to change all Wayspot names from Confederate to Springfield.
However, TWO YEARS LATER, I got rejections for Confederate Dog Park's title and description changes.
Please fix this racist reminder.
Title of Wayspot: Confederate Dog Park Rules
Location:
City: Jacksonville, FL
Country: USA
I don't think dogs were Confederates.
