Re: Sensitive Location?
Perfectly acceptable. Reviewers are getting beyond a joke with these memorials or historical gravestones and cemetery locations. Get over it. No one is disrespecting anyone because they have a phone in their hand playing a game.
Re: Sensitive Location?
I see these all the time. There is NOTHING WRONG OR SENSITIVE about this. The entire reason for a plaque is for the name sake remembrance. You have to understand that the reason someone puts these up. Is because of a belief that a person continues as long as someone knows their name. If it be a traveler just passing by. Or some person/persons playing a game. How my benches have you excepted with a name you never knew. This is a thought of a soul nothing greater you could do for someone. Except give your own for theirs. Have we as a people really forgetting so much?
Re: Why can’t an area for activity not be approved?
The lack of rejection reason usually means the automated filter (who we call Emily around here) decided your nomination was low quality and rejected it. Your picture is of a rock, and Emily probably doesn't like rocks.
If you're nominating the park, it usually helps to take a picture of the sign for the park. If it doesn't have a sign, then it's still eligible, but it's harder to get approved. You should resubmit this, but take a wider photo of the area, showing more of the park, and then this will also likely get rejected by Emily for having too much greenery. However, so long as you provide enough evidence that it is a park without a sign, you would probably be able to appeal it and get it accepted.
Re: Trailmarker
This was the mail but like i stated previously it is on an old nomination from 2023 where there were no discussions about trailmarkers also in that specific area there isn't any GR trail that's in the game
Re: More Appeals Coming (Discussion)
Even good submitters can sometimes struggle with Emily these days. Emily does an alright job sometimes, but other times she seems to just randomly reject things on a whim and the only way you can get them accepted is by appealing.
Re: Request for restoration of "Wandelrouteknooppunten"
I am very disappointed in this decision, and hope Niantic listens to the community and to their own standards and gets on the same page about these trail markers, which are the epitome of encouraging exploration and exercise!
Re: Rejected pokestop and appeals
There is already a Wayspot for the station. Direction signs are generally not eligible so I think you'll always get a rejection on it.
It looks like there are some tennis courts nearby and Ashmoor Hockey Pitch. Maybe a cricket pitch too on the yellow x?
Maps says there is a Totnes Canoe Club nearby although it's difficult to see if there is?
There may be a few other things clubhouses, signs, plaques around the sporting areas too?
If you want to you can ask in nomination improvement before you submit something.
I would advise looking up how the exclusion rules in Go work when adding something to the database as depending on where you put the pin for the tennis courts it may not appear in game for you.
Re: Juri Alexejewitsch Gagarin
Thanks for the appeal, @Tenkterra-ING. Based on the evidence provided, we’ve made necessary changes to the title of the Wayspot.
