Re: LDS and Niantic Games
I suppose it depends upon what Niantic wishes to have in their system.
It has seemed to be a central premise that Wayspots are nominated by the community, and have the community's voice.
Unless someone pays sponsorship fees and obtains approval, each spot says whatever the community wishes.
A spot at a restaurant doesn't say "Welcome to our restaurant. Twenty percent tips automatically applied. Please try the fish."
If somebody keeps editing titles/descriptions that make it sound like the generic voice of a controlling interest, perhaps they should be looking into a sponsorship deal.
Re: POIs removed from Pokemon Go and Warning email
Just like when you called an elevator, pressing the button many times will not make it come any faster. You can bump until you are blue in the face, but niantic won't reply until it's your turn. So keep your pants on and WAIT.
Re: Trailmarkers - warning received
Do categories help Wayfarers? Do they help enough to be worth the effort of drilling down and searching for one or more correct ones? Is it worth adding them during review?
If categories are non-existent from Ingress, and optional during reviewing, who actually benefits from them?
Re: why aren't my nominations in pokemon go, and rather are sent to other niantic games
We have been begging for years to have the nomination prompts indicate that you are submitting Wayspots for consideration for inclusion in the Lightship database, not pokestops or portals. I don't think they will ever change the wording.
Re: Deleting a wayspot that no longer exists
Strictly speaking, it simply becomes hidden from all services, with the logs retained. This aids in recovery from false disablement reports or mistaken identifications of misconduct.
Re: Gym removed one week after acceptance
Hmm yes I had thought of the whole “you can’t make pokestops contributions for high schools” but another one on my area has at least 7 stops for all its playgrounds and facilities so…
Re: Invalid Wayspot - Located in High Security Zone - Buddha Statue at Norochcholai Power Plant
Wayspots do not need to be accessible to everyone all the time. So the fact that the place is restricted access is no reason for it to be removed. People with legitimate access are free to interact with it if they choose.

In addition to above, check the tooltip under Appropriate (i) and all the others for more information.
Re: Criteria for new spots - Every playground should be removed.
Hi Viit,
I don't like that you're sounding so sad with "the end" of your discussion.
I sleep a night over it and wanted to give you another example for thump up to playgrounds and green fields in the middle of nowhere:
My 8 years old son love to play pogo, catch some monsters, fight a raid a.s.o. We live in a "small" city. I would loved to know, that he was playing on playgrounds and large green fields, cause my heart would haven't a calm second if I know he goes thruw traffic and do it on a sidewalk next to an In-Cafe.
Fun fact: two weeks ago I started a discussion about removing poke stops on cemeteries (surch for it, it doesn't end good for me and my point of view ;-)). I had to learn the word "cemetery tourism".
Sometimes it isn't easy to hear what other people think. But it's great that you're interested in. I stay to my words, that different opinions are good for a forum.
Do your best judgement!

Re: Gym removed one week after acceptance
A high school is not a legitimate wayspot. Niantic forbids wayspots that are on K-12 property, which is Americanspeak for any school that is primarily for students 18 and under.
