Help understanding rejection for creek name sign

Hi,
Should I resubmit or is this sign really not eligible? The rejection says it's a natural feature, but the nomination was for the sign.
Name: Spanish Oak Creek Marker
Location: 30.53016220737269, -97.79717332601167 (it's right next to the pedestrian sidewalk), https://goo.gl/maps/w3d9QreeHW9L6o698
Rejection: "Nomination appears to be a natural feature (waterfall, mountain, lake, etc.) that is not connected to a man-made object."

This is the kind of thing that doesn't really meet a particular rejection criteria, but doesn't really seem notable enough to be accepted. The sign doesn't provide any useful information about the creek beyond its name, and this particular spot on the creek is just where the road crosses it and doesn't have any real significance beyond that. So I don't think it's a particularly strong candidate.
Honestly, its just a sign with a name, no extra information. That makes it more generic. Its not a neutral feature, the rejection criteria are trash. Im more with 1* -> Doesnt meet criteria. But thats subjective.
Thanks for the insight. I've seen approved pokestops/gyms for general name signs like this so it was a little confusing
