These are the german equivalent of UK Post Boxes. There are ~2000 of them in Berlin. Some look really cool but most of them look something like this.

Should these be rejected as mass produced under the new criteria?

The one you've posted an example of I would veer towards saying it should be rejected, especially since it does look like a generic, mass produced one, as opposed as a more unique looking one.
