Additional information: Hi guys. Upon logging in to PoGo this morning I noticed a well loved gym in my area had completely disappeared. In the above image from Google Streetview, the park sign in the middle of frame was the gym, with the rectangular traffic light signal box on the left side being another PoI formally not available in PoGo. As the in game screenshot shows, the circled red stop is the PoI in question that was moved - the new stop above my player is the signal box previously mentioned. The new location is 300m away from where it should be so I'm very confused how this has happened, but as it's now left the S14 cell completely the gym has relocated to another stop. Could I please have this change reversed - I am able to provide more physical proof if required.
Thanks for taking the time to read,
Cheers

Where is the sign physically located? Because neither the current location or your proposed locations are where a sign like that would be.
This location looks like the right place, matches the photo (different park name on streetview; but same painted box.):

I think you are misunderstanding the information. I believe what @Novokane-PGO is explaining is that the the sign was originally in the correct location, right next to the active pokestop in the game screen shot. You can see in the photo image that the sign is on that street corner. The waypoint has inexplicably been moved to the middle of the park, indicated by the red-circled inactive pokestop.
Looks like the sign, which is clearly at the entrance to the park next to that footpath, has somehow moved to the middle of a cricket pitch. Because it's moved, another Ingress portal has since gone live in PoGo.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. Yes @DonAlexus-PGO & @soaresof-PGO have hit the nail on the head. Sorry I'm just now realising all of the useful information I failed to first mention.
The stop that has been circled red in my screenshot is the PoI in question - Fehlburg Park gym was on the corner of Hyde Rd & Fairfield rd which is the intersection shown in the streetview image above (newer streetview will show the name of the park has been changed to Hyde Rd park - but the waypoint is valid). The location it has moved to is right on the other side of that S14 cells boundary, meaning that a whole new gym has been promoted in another location.
Here it's shown in the intel map, with the X showing the previous location. Please note you can clearly see the path below the sign which matches that shown on the intel map and google maps. In reality, it probably should have been on the cell to the right of where is indicated...
The above two images just further evidence of this PoI's location and gym status.
I'm hoping I've covered everything and that this has all the info required to take action. I honestly have no hope whatsoever that we will have this gym return to the game - though I am truly confused how an ineligible edit for a 300m move was allowed in the first place. I've noticed via the intel map that there were two other nearby PoI moves via Ingress recently as well - coincidentally at the same location the new gym has taken hold.
Thanks for your time!
While you may be successful in having the Wayspot moved back to its original location, it unfortunately won't be restored as a gym or a Pokestop. That doesn't mean that Niantic won't take action against those who instigated and approved the location edit. @NianticGiffard seems to be the one handling abuse issues. But also include details about the two other Wayspot and where they are physically located so that it can Niantic can look into those as well.
Giffard does the appeals. In the last time, EG and Andres are more into abuse reports.
Appeal Accepted - Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. Based on the evidence provided, we’ve moved the Pokéstop to the correct location.
Interested to know what happens now it has been moved back to it's original location. Is it all as it was or is the "new" Stop still in place and this one "hidden" due to the cell rules?
Thank you Giffard - I can confirm I no longer see Fehlburg Park in new location, nor can I actually see it at all anymore. The intel map hasn't yet updated, but I'll assume it's now hidden in the same S17 as the other PoI there. Is there any route to having the gym return?
Also, in response to @TheFarix-PGO this is from the Intel map:
Hyde Rd Playground is in the adjacent cell to the new gym which replaced Fehlburg Park. Also interestingly I've just noticed today another PoI nearby, Red & White Balls has gone completely. I'm not sure what's going on around here but I don't believe any of it is correct.
I was curious too - this is the result
