Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Agent. We took another look at the Portal in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time. Please submit a new image of the Portal location via scanner app.
Please read the words "**** COPS" with black paint. I don't need a new image, that attached image is clear.
"Please submit a new image of the Portal location via scanner app." mans something like "Please create a new picture without the words" so the POI can stay but get a new picture", so a "win-win-situation". Or is there another reason you want this POI to get deleted?
That's enough, I am calling the police!
This is a new requirement and is not in accordance to data required for appeal.
I mean, if you dont want the POI anymore, I would take it. One upgrade less to recieve xD
No, I want that Niantic meet with the rules they made. The criteria for approval portals is clear.
they have specific criteria for removal. Those reasons are the same as the ones named in the ingame report screen. Also, some POIs with **** or hassasing content MIGHT get deleted. In this case, the focus of the POI is on the graffiti and not on the words.
If the only problem is some unrelated graffiti off to the side, just submit a new photo that does not include the graffiti or paint over the graffiti before taking a new photo.
The criteria is clear: it's not eligible as portal if:

Another new criteria for portal? Focus?
1. NIA didn't approve the portal, the reviewers approved it.
2. It says 'hate speech against a protected group'. The police are not a protected group.
3. If you wanted to remove the hate speech from the portal photo, you could just take a new photo and it would be fixed.
Just send a new picture for the POI.
Not meeting the eligibility criteria is not one of the removal criteria.
Maybe try going over to the Wayspot Photo Appeals section and trying to get the offending photo removed rather than the Wayspot removed?

"Doesn't Meet Acceptance Criteria" is not a criterion for removing an existing Wayspot. Criteria changes, but that doesn't mean that previously approved Wayspots gets removed unless they meet the Criteria for Removal. Wayspots will only be removed if they fit one or more of the following conditions:
Many of us have already provided solutions to deal with this particular issue. Whether you do any of them is up to you, but Niantic has already ruled that this Wayspot doesn't meet the criteria for removal.
Would you just repaint/clean that text, make a new photosphere, request photo edit, and appeal the edit in this forum if somehow it got rejected?
Permanently removed. There is not a new photo to upload. If a new photo is uploaded is not a quality portal.
