Are bowling alleys acceptable POI?

I was wondering if bowling alleys are acceptable POI?
While I would assume that they can fall under a place where people can gather, would it make a difference if the bowling alley has other locations?
Thanks.

You can be social there and it is a great place for exercise. They should be eligeble.
Yes. It's probably the easiest business to get accepted as well.
Yes, it should be eligible as correctly pointed out by you guys. Bowling Alleys do meet our criteria and is a great place to be social with each other.
Much appreciated for the assistance!
A different question for ya; which sub-forum on here would be best to ask questions in regards to issues with photospheres (wrong photosphere was chosen) and Ingress (moving a waypoint a foot or less over into an unoccupied L17 Cell so it will show up in PoGo)?
FYI - Niantic will not move Waypoints away from an existing location and into another Cell just to allow another Waypoint to appear in PoGo. Submitting such an edit and asking reviewers to "pick this spot please" could be considered as trying to influence reviewers and get your account reported for Abuse, which could result in problems. Best not to do stuff like this.
So in that case how could it be requested so that it does not fall under the generic criteria? send the proposal from abroad or how would it be correct? @LukeAllStars-PGO @NianticGiffard
Ah, I thought that was allowed because I see that A LOT when I review. I've also been in contact with Niantic support via email and they suggested that I ask on here to see if any Ingress players can do the move @sogNinjaman-ING
And which sub-forum on here would be best to ask questions in regards to issues with photospheres?
What is the issue with the photosphere? Is it in a significantly incorrect location? Then report it to Google. But if it just happens to be the closest photosphere to the submission and it's in the correct place, there isn't really anything to be done (aside from submitting your own, even closer photosphere).
I should copy this thread's URL into the supporting statement of a bowling alley because they apparently do not meet criteria and are considered a natural feature.
So, I literally just had a Bowling Alley rejected.
Reject email:
This is who we are, for the bulk of it, dealing with when we upgrade nominations. They are instead flagged for having sexuel content and seemingly don't meet criteria. The bulk of reviewers don't give a rat's arsis about criteria.
Frustrating to be certain but fairly common with the current review process and the reward system in place. This has more to do with the number of rejections it takes versus the number of acceptance then the validity of a POI.
Please understand, the majority of folks whom review do know the criteria and review properly. However Niantic has set up a system where a small minority of reviewers can sink a valid POI if its not spot on. So while your pictures aren't bad, they aren't great either. Your supporting information speaks more to criteria then it does to the actual bowling alley. The supporting photo also has people in it. Which is fine but some poor reviewers will see that and reject it for having people. And since it takes far fewer rejection votes to get something kicked out that is why things get rejected for seemingly point less reasons (some estimates have it as little as 1/3 to 1/4 as many rejection votes vs acceptance votes).
If you left this nomination as is without upgrading it would likely go through. With upgrading you open up to a wider audience, some are much harsher and others just plain stink and are reviewing for the agreements (agreement fisher)
I'd submit again but let it get into voting and gain some local reviews first and then upgrade, if you feel like you have to so it doesn't take a year. Its a giant PITA but if you want to get your wayspot through its often what you have to do.
This is why I don’t upgrade anything and have stopped reviewing so I don’t accumulate upgrades. Upgrades are 80% going to get rejected b/c people apparently have no critical thinking skills. They don’t use the map features. They think pedestrian access mean it MUST have a path or walkway (they would be wrong). They think all restaurants and businesses are generic (nope….in fact probably 90% of what I’ve seen is acceptable, as they ALL are places to socialize and gather). They think a person way off in the distance even on supporting photo is ineligible (incorrect, person must be identifiable). Many seem to think everyone needs to have an English degree and be poetic on submissions. (Nope, in fact one doesn’t have to have a description at all if they don’t want to). They don’t understand apartments and condos and multi family homes don’t qualify as single family homes or private residences and are are eligible for submissions. People don’t seem to understand any place that is a place where people gather, hang out, socialize, is eligible (other than what is explicitly mentioned as unacceptable in criteria). Anything that you might stop to look at or read, is a point of interest.
So many legit stuff rejected for stupid or incorrect reasons yet for some reason a lot of **** is easily passed. Like last time I checked stuff is supposed to be rejected near schools. I’ve seen more new stops than I care to see pop up within feet of schools.
sorry, got off on a tangent but I feel your pain.
Agree with everything except restaurants and "everything you might stop to look at or read"
Can we see some of your rejected nominations? Maybe we can help.
Both during the Russian Wayfarer event and after it ended, I had 13 nominations go through with 11 of them getting accepted.
