Title: Lakemont community pool
Location: 47.5617811, -122.0959022
Country: United States of America
As shown in the pictures the pool is publicly accessible and isn't a privately owned home. It is a large apartment complex, the pool is located right next to the entrance which is right off the road so there's easy access for anyone walking by.
I used an upgrade on this so I'm very upset by the possibility of needing to resubmit... The upgrade is the only reason it went through voting, had been sitting in queue since September.
Hello @1Deliriumisms-PGO ,
Your submission is ineligible as explained in the recent AMA (bolding added to point out why your submission is ineligible):
With the criteria refresh, how has that change affected how reviewers should consider swimming pools?
Your "apartment complex pool" nomination is a residential-focused location.
Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. We're not currently reviewing PokéStop submissions. Please resubmit the nomination by improving its title/description if you feel that it was a valid nomination.
Yet apartment dog parks, sport courts, and playgrounds are acceptable though they are on private residences?
Yes, they are. As long as they meet the criteria, though.
*as long as they are NOT on single family private residences.
I agree that there is a logic that they should be treated the same, but Niantic has explicitly stated that pools are to be treated differently.
Okay so if apartment pools can't be approved, then can neighborhood pools be approved? I found one today that was brand new since I know it has been rejected in the past year.
This already explains a lot for your question @RNGingerJesus-PGO
So we still go with no on neighborhood and apartment pools? I can roll with that.
