Wondering if older waystops that would no longer meet criteria will be eliminated.

I couldn’t find a specific discussion on this topic , though it’s probably been addressed. Excuse me if this is repetitious.

Some current waystops, such as signs for housing developments, wouldn’t be approved using today’s three basic criteria and reasons for approval/rejection. As I review, I understand why some folks who don’t carefully read criteria might submit something in line with a current stop. I recommend rejection based on failure to meet or justify meeting basic criteria.

My question: Will older stops that would not be approved today, but are still in existence, be removed at some point as the system transitions using the new guidelines and criteria? This seems a rather sticky situation

Thanks for any information
