    Seeing a photo of the cricket nests along with the sign would suggest to me that someone submitted the nets as a new Waypoint and the review process marked it as a "Duplicate" of the existing cricket club as it is part of the cricket club facilities.

    The wayspot is on the clubhouse representing the social area. The cricket nets operate independently. You can have cricket nets without a clubhouse (a local park). You can have a clubhouse without cricket nets (clubhouse + pitch). One is for social, the other is for sport and an exercise equipment. Similar to a large park and a cordoned off children's playground/outdoor gym. They are not the same object.
