Good evening.
Hippodromes are places of equine sports competitions and shows, but in some cases it's possible to make sports bets there, without it being an obligation.
So is this legit?

I can't see that it wouldn't be acceptable.
Yeah, I would rate it high. It's an athletic stadium and gathering space for a subgroup of people (equine enthusiests).
I would avoid submitting/approving nominations where the focus is on gambling and betting that may take place, but general shows and spectator sports sound as though they should qualify. Obviously, relevant historical or cultural plaques and artwork would likely be eligible.
