Are locations accessed by walking better than a nomination close to a road
Is it a good idea to promote walking.
Not exactly sure what you are getting at. All Wayspots must have pedestrian access. If the object is next to a road, there must be some sort of pedestrian pathway between the road and the object for the object to have pedestrian access. And no, the road itself cannot double as a pedestrian pathway.
Would it be better to nominate something along a walking track rather than a place in an urban environment?
as long as the nomination is accessable for pedestrians, everything is ok. E.g. something in roundabouts or traffic islands is ineligeble due to the lack of pedestrian access.
There's no difference in how "good" nominating an eligible object is. If you know something that's eligible and not yet in the system, nominate it.
If your question is which one to nominate first, that depends entirely on you.
If they are both eligible, nominate them both.
There is no either or question. It is a matter of which would you prioritize, and that very much depends on the local area.
Personally i nominate things in a priority. First priority is things that are easy approved nominations: parks, gazebos, playgrounds, churches, sport fields. Next is murals and trail markers. Last i try is businesses as they are definitely the hardest to get approved and may take multiple tries
Nominate which ever you want to. Also keep in mind if you are playing a specific game like pokemon go check ingress intel map and spacing. If your sole purpose of nominating is to get stops in pokemon. If its in ingress you’ll get marked with duplicate. Also if the cell is already occupied it may get approved but wont get in the game. So using that you can narrow down when where and what you want to nominate
Exactly. Completely agreed. Perfect choices & great explanations
