Trail markers:

There are 9 trail markers in this wood, none have been accepted. They all use the same text so is there anything I could be changing or are they not acceptable?

Looks like a bollard to me - can't see anything to indicated it marks a trail - although that could be image resolution in this forum.
When I submit trails I zoom right in on the trail marker so the reviewer can read it and validate it is a trail. They are a contentious subject though and I'm still only getting accepted named trail markers which aren't just a sticker on a metal Public Footpath post.
I would reject this simply on photo. Nothing in that photo to me screams “trail marker”.
Hard sell unfortunately, not even sure what I'd personally vote. What can be improved
-enhance the number 6 in the pole (with paint if necessary)
-write about the actual trail, not about the forest area
-make sure the trail shows clearly in your photos
- if the trail isn't visible in satellite view, consider making a photosphere (not required, but helps)
-in support text, provide a link that confirms the existence of trail
Good luck if you decide to try again.
If you want anything to be accepted in places like this, you need to confirm the location by submitting a photosphere.
OP, that above is misleading. Yes, photospheres help your chances, but it's not absolutely required.
(Problem is that some reviewers demand photosphere for targets under tree cover and might mark wrongly 1*. for location. )
