Why🤔??
I wanna ask few questions to the evaluators. First: why the private restaurant (do you know any other type) is accepted and other are rejected. I nominated one that have very good food and it's located in almost 200 year old and beautiful house. Rejected. Few years old Starbucks are accepted. ****👿. And one more
Do you think this photo is blurred or it's been made from the car??
I have a reflection. How do you want to have your nominations judged, if you treat your colleagues this way? I will not judge any other nomination. Wait few more months. Nice day to everyone 🖐️

Restaurants are eligeble if they got anything special on it.

5* POI turned to 1* -> watermarked
It isn't enough to submit something that is a good candidate. Well, sometimes it is but most of the time it's also important to present your submission well. I can't read the text on your restaurant submission so I don't know what it says... did you explain what makes this restaurant special and not just another random restaurant?
I'll drop this in here. https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/9890/how-to-submit-things-that-get-accepted
Exactly. I wrote every good things which makes this place special. Old historical building, very good food🍴. And it was rejected becouse it's in private hands🤔 . I'm speechless
"Old building, good food" is the same sort of thing said about every other restaurant. Why is it special? Has it won any awards? Is it in any guidebooks? You have to prove this one is something special and much better than every other "nice food" place.
And how about Starbucks🤔?? World class restaurant, oh yeah. How many stars is it have?? Please tell me
1 star. Any that are in Pokémon GO are through the sponsorship program.
Starbucks is not for the food... or even the coffee... it is a good place to hang out with friends. However, this would not make it a 5* right away...
Look what it says on the Guidelines:
Local Businesses
Generally speaking, local businesses that are considered long-standing watering holes, favorite hyper-local hangouts, or even more regionally recognized as a cultural hotspot, fall under the eligibility criteria of Explore and can be submitted for consideration and review. For submitters, since this is a subjective judgement call the reviewers must make, do utilize the supporting text and images to strengthen your case. For reviewers, keep in mind that even a generic business in a small town can be an important part of the local community.
A starbucks in a big city like new york with hundreds of them around in every other corner... not... maybe one particular starbucks that is not just the boring coffee shop but also has something unique might be a good one...
But a starbucks in a small town where there is only one and is always super crowded might be actually a good one...
It all depends on how you sell your nomination to the approvers...
Any Starbucks that are in Pokemon GO are most likely sponsored wayspots, so they get added by the NIA team, not by players.
@NorthSeaPoet-ING
And only i think in the USA. My local Starbucks in Spain don't have stops, including the oldest one in the country.
Just because something is old DOES NOT MEAN ITS HISTORIC
Why are you shouting? I can tell you that this street and all the buildings are part of the industrial monuments trail😜.
Others have given you advice but I will try to be specific.
1) Every single person who submits a restaurant says "great food." That is not enough to qualify. No one is going to submit it and say "The food is bad but we come here anyway."
2) You must tell us something that the town thinks is unique about this place. I usually look on their website. Do they have a family recipe that they have been using for many, many years? Do they make their desserts or breads by hand every day? Have they ever been featured in a magazine or on a local tv show or in a guidebook about the area? Have they ever been voted "Best" for some category of food or atmosphere? Do they hold special fund-raisers or gatherings for the community? Do they have a place for performers - singers or poetry reading?
3) Next time you see a Starbucks in the game, look to see if there is a pink bump on the leg of the Pokestop or Gym. If there is, that means it is a sponsored stop. That Starbucks paid Niantic to appear in the game. No one submitted and approved it through Wayfarer. This is something a lot of people don't understand. Businesses that have the opportunity to get sponsored stops like Starbucks should not be nominated or approved through Wayfarer because that is like taking money out of Niantic's pocket.
