Lost Cause?

Wondering if this nomination may be a lost cause. I’m not sure there is any more info I can add to this to try to help my community get this accepted. Others had submitted & had denied so I figure I’d give it a try. I didn’t have high hopes but didn’t expect it to get denied either. I’m not really sure if this one is worth it or just better left alone until a later date when Niantic has had the chance to better clarify on criteria like this. In the instance of this grave there are sidewalks around it & locals commonly walk the paths in their leisure time. It’s in the older part of the cemetery. He is a historical figure that fought in the Battle of Gettysburg & someone that locals in our community look up to. I knew the chances of this nomination getting denied but figured heck; the worst that can happen is it gets denied. The reason though is what gets me. I wish we could get more transparency on nominations such as this. The cemetery this grave is located in is South Park cemetery & the grave is accessible 365 days a year 24/7 although I don’t recommend going in the middle of the night. This nomination may be one to pass on for now.

Seems okay to me - I googled your title and they seem to be historically relevant. I'd include the dates of their life just to make it clear that their family aren't going to turn up to do some mourning. Obviously your local reviewers have a downer on cemeteries so maybe try upgrading?
@Sprodicus-PGO I believe you’re right. I will try that next time
May be hard to pass just because of location (being in a cemetery by the looks of it doesnt help). Looks eligible for historical significance. But just may be a hard pass
I’m going to hold off on submitting again for awhile & come back to it later on
Honestly, I'd give up on it. Even though I personally think it's a great nomination, it will probably never pass. Even if Niantic somehow made everyone read and acknowledge the rules about historically important memorials and gravestones being eligible, reviewers would still reject it. I've seen lots of arguments on this topic (even here, on this forum), and many people will deny anything in a cemetery, no matter what.
I think this is one of the cases where giving up saves you a lot of frustration and wasted energy.
@Nadiwereb-PGO I appreciate your honesty & I will follow your guidance. Thank you for your comment. You are absolutely correct
