    **** ok.

Of course it depends on the nomination. We have to check the other criteria like pedestrian accessibility...

But what i said is for thoose who reject something like Trail Markers for being not unique or mass producted or not cultural. Or Niantic clearly identify trail markers as acceptable waitspot, so if we saw a trail marker submission and if all criteria (position, accessibility, photo) are ok, we must accepted them. There is no place to subjectivity in the process.

We can't refuse something just because we don't like the submission.

If the trail marker is not good, not unique, or a marker only pointing towards cities or something like that, it is enough reason to reject them.

A trail marker can't be unique. There are placed all along the trail... Niantic said that's the trail we evaluate, not the marker, the marker is just a physical thing used to create a wayspot. And all trail are necesseraly unique.

Not good? i don't really see how a trail marker can be "not good"

for "marker only pointing towards cities" i'm not sure of what that's mean even with google translate, so i won't argue on that.

You're not meant to accept every single trail marker on a single trail if they look identical.

The guidlines clearly state that an object needs to be visually unique, that means not having 10 trail markers for the same trail that look identical being accepted in the same area

Niantic have always said and reaffirmed the view that the idea is not to ingest every single thing as a submission but rather unique interesting POI's.

It is completely possible for a Trail Marker to be rejected on visual uniqueness if there are already some identical looking markers for the same trail as existing POI's

What I don't understand is why are we judging spots in other states or countries? I don't know their areas and neither does anyone outside of that area.

I have had several stops shot down for reasons unbeknown to me. On a couple of submissions they said they were private property when in fact they were statues in Frederick Meijer Gardens Grand Rapids MI or Historical sites in public parks. The pictures AND descriptions were excellent.

I'm sorry, but I feel most of this judging system is such a joke. Some requests that I have seen approved ARE private property and should have NEVER been approved. I won't waste my time submitting or judging on sites.

I agree with you on that point.

There's just a difference between "reject every trail markers because they could be not unique" and "reject trail marker if there is an other trail marker accepted on the same area". I think the second option is the best one for trail markers. Unfortunatly, too many people reject trailmarker even if there is no other trailmarker wayspot on the same area just because they think it could be not unique...

We have a map with all the wayspot on the area when we evalue. It's easy to find if there is an other trail marker with the same apparence in the same place... If we found one, it's a duplica reject. If not, it's probably a good submission...
