This chapel disappeared a few days ago! Please wait few weeks with removal! Maybe it's just under renovation!
Let him remove it. Since he drove #160km to take a sphere of recently stolen shrine (what a coincidence!), he deserves a candy. I have a portal much closer to my home now (and more to come), so I'm no longer farming there.
Appeal Accepted - Thanks for the appeal, Agent. We gave this a second look and after reviewing the additional evidence provided, we've decided to retire the Portal in question.
Thanks @NianticGray. The shrine is gone so it was definitely a right decision to retire it. I just wanted to add 2 cents so that the community and mods know a little bit more of what has happened here. Unfortunately the old threads are gone from this forum, but I found some screenshots on my mobile.
The first attempt to retire this PoI was in July 2020, about 3 months I recursed into the other faction. There was a fake reason specified - lack of pedestrian access. The appeal was denied.
On the night of 13th/14th Feb 2021 the shrine was stolen from the tree where it was hanging for years before Ingress.
