Invalid Photo Appeal - Was unable to change upgrade

Hi -
I submitted a nomination that was rejected for bad photo just because it was at night. I even created a thread on here asking if it was OK and this was not said to be an issue, but it was rejected anyways.
I was unable to change my "upgrade next" to an enhanced version of this nomination that I created with a daylight photo for a better nomination. I also submitted a thread about this and it was reported as "working as intended"
I have now COMPLETELY wasted the first and only upgrade that I have ever recieved. Is there ANYTHING we can do about this? Am I completely out of luck and have wasted all of my efforts reviewing?

Perhaps review some more submissions to get "another" Upgrade? Getting 1 upgrade does not really require a lot of effort.
I disagree, 350 reviews took about a weeks worth of work 1 hour per day.
The rejection likely came from your reviewers. Some players saw your photo and felt it was worth being downvoted for it. The rejection reasons just match what players were reporting.
You'll find mixed results from reviewers. I've had to place a submission multiple times before approval.
I know it's frustrating getting an upgrade declined for a stupid reason, but it's bound to happen and you can't get your upgrade back.

I suppose I will just go ahead and add wayfarer to my list of blocked sites so I am not tempted to come back here and spend what sogNinjaman describes as "not a lot of effort" in 7 hours worth of reviews just to have a rejection like this.
To summarize:
-there was no way to change my upgrade next
-there was no way to change my photo
-my nomination was removed for invalid reasons and as a result I have spent my hard earned upgrade for nothing
The whole process has completely turned me off of Niantic and the game as a whole. Seems like a good impetus to take a break from the entire game for a few weeks. I'm sure it won't matter to Niantic much, but at least i'll get that returning player shiny bump if I do decide to come back.

As lots of people told you under your previous post, this pharmacy is simply not eligible. And that is actually the first listed rejection reason as well. I agree that the photo itself is fine and it shouldn't have been rejected for that, but it doesn't meet criteria either.
Also, when you assign your "Upgrade next", there is a warning that it cannot be undone, so you really can't be mad about not being able to undo it. You agreed to it.
The vast majority of my candidates have been approved without upgrades. I wouldn't depend so greatly on them. Good candidates get through with or without them; upgrades only impact the speed of processing your candidate.
