Rejected public park nomination
Is there anything wrong with this nomination? Since when public parks are ineligible?
In my opinion I provided a proper title, great description and accurate location. Not only that in the images there were many visible pathways which prove the accessibility of the park. Yet it was rejected.
Hi Trainer NEKACerria,
Thank you for nominating Planicu Parks on Mar 1, 2021. Upon review by the Niantic community of players, we regret to inform you that this nomination is ineligible.
This nomination has been rejected due to the following reason(s):
Insufficient evidence that the nomination accurately reflects the submitted real-world location based on comparison of the submitted photo and map views, Nomination does not meet acceptance criteria, Nomination appears to be a natural feature (waterfall, mountain, lake, etc.) that is not connected to a man-made object.
Changes to the results of the community review are not possible. If, however, you believe your nomination should be eligible, please review the Help Center Article “What makes a high-quality PokéStop?”, and feel free to revise the title, description, location, and/or photo when you submit a new nomination. Thank you for your hard work, Trainer!

Planicu Parks
One of several parks in Kuldiga. It's located near Planica street and has many interesting sculptures to see from back when there was a graveyard here.

You need a sign of the parc/plaza, otherwise it doesnt meet criteria.
All I see is a bunch of trees, it could very well be someone's wooded back yard. Second, there is no sign to unambiguously anchor the "park" Wayspot marker to.
heb weleens het idee vriendjes politiek 🤔
in mijn buurt ook weinig en nominaties word niet eens bekeken 🤣
lees hoop klachten sommigen wachten al een jaar
The rejection of this nomination has nothing to do with that though, it just does not meet the criteria the way it has been shown here.
There are multiple public trash pins, light pole and aged crosses from time this used to be a graveyard in 18-19 century.. Does these seem like common backyard items to you? Pay attention to the pathways and tell me whos "wooded backyard" has a foot traffic like this? If that's not enough for you It's in the middle of the city and there are no fences or nothing..
And most of the actual public park PokeStops have pictures without any signs or street furniture, a sign would count as a whole different object entirely..
In my opinion, this is the main problem - people only accept signs and children playgrounds these days..
I think you found a potential solution by yourself. Nominate the cross and/or the mentioned sculptures in Park xyz. Tell the background story of it being a former graveyard that has been converted to a public park. Easy fix
Like a lot of things, niantic ask for something to "anchor" the Waypoint to, which is usually a sign or some other fixed object. A photo of some trees and grass with the title "park" is not enough. You need a sign.
You can get tons of wayspots using those sculptures instead of aiming for a single one.
Plan your nominations properly, make sure that they are visible in street view and you might enjoy that park a lot.
But please, take the time to plan it, check the cells, select the best nominations and use good photos and descriptions
Agreed^^^!!
I've already made 3 PokeStops but I wanted to make a gym out of the park itself.. seemed like the right thing to do
I recommend researching S2 Cells if you haven’t already
