Level 14 S2 cells and the number of gyms

Greetings,
I am unsure whether this is the right place to ask this question, but I'll post it anyways. If there are 20 confirmed waypoints in a level 14 cells which are also showing in the game (so each of these in its own Level 17 cell) there should be three gyms and 17 pokestops, correct? Next to where I live, there are 21 waypoints in one L14 cell (cell boundaries according to pogomaps) but only TWO gyms in the cell. I recently added to pokestops to reach 20 and they were approved by the wayfarer community and showed up in the game. I am quite familiar with the pokestopps in the game and walked the boundaries of the cell today, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. There should have popped up a new gym, no? This is strange, what could be the reason? There are some gyms directly bordering the cell, but I don't think that is the problem... thanks.

What kind of map are you using?
An official oben like Ingress intel?
Can you Post the coords if one POI in that lvl 14 cell?
Also, nobody knows about the exact system, there are only some ideas of how it might work. So it can also be possible, that Niantic changed something.
I cross checked pogomaps with ingress intel.
pogomap is bad, can you send a location so I could check aswell?

this is one in the middle of the cell more or less, took this from ingress intel.
The cell has 18 POIs:
many thanks. Pogomaps really seems to be bad. It had worked fine so far though.
From where did you take the snap shot? I'll use that from now on. cheers!
Make a search for
IITC and pogo-tools
With those you can get an up to date POI situation. Pogomap is not always reliable.
For the future, Intel links are good here. This?

Here is the explanation. I am not supporting it, you can decide whether you want to use it or not. It's a 3rd party add-on!
This thread should be a sticky to remember everyone that pogomap is bad and shouldn't be used.
Yep, sorry. could have counted myself instead of relying on what pogomaps counts. My bad.
For exact locations I do rely on Intel. For the cells I used pogomaps...
You can copy the coords in Ingress, but with Ingress Intel, you don't need to do that.
Pogo map is only bad when people don’t input properly. Can be messed up quickly. Worked for me :). I couldnt manage to get iitc to work if anyone can give me some hints lol
yes, but maybe not via the forum xD
Would you possibly have discord? Lol 😂
sure
That is what I did, basically. So the coordinates should be correct (from ingress intel), but Pogo somehow miscalculates the number of waypoints (information button says 19 pokestops and 2 gyms - one due) in this particular cell. that was the reason for my confusion. I also couldn't get the intel plug-ins to run properly, so I was stuck with pogo...
Anyone can find help in the reddit wayfarer, and I think there's a linked Discord for those that prefer that.
There is a lot of incorrect information on Reddit. I was on Reddit for a day and every time I posted something to help answer a question it would get down voted. I don't know what the purpose would be to down vote a post that is trying to help provide information to someone who is asking for it, but if thats what is happening on one subReddit, it discredits the entire forum.
Thank you for the disagreement, it seems that you learned quickly.
By the way, I was replying about how to setup IITC with the plugins because this is not the best place to search for help on that topic, not about the overall quality of reddit.
