Additional information: We believe that this Wayspot was removed because of the pedestrian access.
But despite the fact that it's near a road, this road is opened not only for cars but also for bikes and pedestrians. If you're coming to this Wayspot by car you can park your car near 47.893610, -0.378242 and then just cross the road.
It's usual to see pedestrian on this type of road in France, and people are used to it.

Hi,
This poi is on a road junction with a stop sign. Cars form the secondary road need to stop, according to french traffic law and signs on pictures. Also, it's legal to walk on the sidewalk in this country road.
So, except if the poi was on a highway with guardrail or some road with whiteline on the side where you can't stop, this kind of poi on a road junction is totall legit because you can easily acces by foot, bike, car, pony.

If someone has been able to take 2 pictures of that PoI, he could easily play here as a pokestop or as a Ingress Portal.
One of that road, designated as C5, is a comunal road. In Google Street View, we can easily see that it an local road that doesn't support an heavy traffic.
On the same image on Google Street View, we can see that the other road of the intersection, a departemental road, designated as D79, is also a rural road, and not a road with intense traffic.
This thread will turn into the usual set of "Yes there is / no there isn't safe pedestrian access" that we keep seeing in here recently. Pointless anyone else commenting again and again of jumping in with "I've never posted here before but I agree with xxx" posts.
According to a strict interpretation of Niantic guidelines there is "no safe pedestrian access" to this Waypoint. About 90% of the time Niantic agree with that, though recently they have restored one or two like this, which means there are some inconsistent results even from them.
The appeal had been made. Lets see what Niantic decide on this particular occasion.
Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Agent. We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Portal. The reason being there is no pedestrian access.
