Any tips for this nomination?

Hi guys! New to nominating and trying to get the hang of it received a rejection today that was a bit puzzling, so I figured I would ask the seasoned wayfarers for advice, here's the nomination and reason for rejection:

You may not like to hear this but the best tip would be to not submit it or anything like it ever again.
A generic housing estate sign like that doesn't meet any criteria at all.

So the welcome sign isnt really eligible unless it has something uniquely artistic. HOWEVER, I see a nice pergola behind that sign which generally are eligible. Submit that instead would be my first thought

A live animal!? XD, sometimes people reject without really knowing why, but alas, if you choose to try again, try putting more emphasis on the garden/park is on, that might yield a better outcome, but for what is worth, I think your nomination is kinda cool, maybe not a five star, but a three or four.

As other mentioned, sign like these are ineligible. But nominating pergola we can see on the picture might be better idea. As Jtronmoore-PGO wrote, they are eligible and you have big chance it will get accepted :)
