What do reviewers see?

Hi, I saw something on this on the forum before, but cannot find it now. Sorry for the repeat.

Is there a way to see what reviewers see in the location window?

    you mean the street view?

while yes, it is stupid for the submitter only to see the satelite view while the reviewer can see the street view.

you want to see also what street view your submission will "give" to the reviewers?

install the plugin "wayfarer+ " . in that plugin it has that option, to show you the street view that yours subs show to the reviewer

I do not believe you need Wayfarer+ to see this. If you go into your nomination, you will see a map view underneath your description. You can change that to satellite by clicking the word satellite in the top left corner of the map box and if you grab the little yellow man on the right side of the box, and drop him on top of your pin, it will bring up the street view or photosphere that will be shown, if there is one available.

If you want to see what a reviews sees before you submit your nomination, you can always use the google streetview app to see what an area's local streetview looks like. You can also use it to upload photospheres of the area to add to streetview if there's no good way to see your nomination!

You might not see exactly what reviewers will, but you can dangle & drop Pegman over your nomination.

It's helped me see which photosphere(s) might be prioritized.

Similarly, I'll sometimes leave notes saying "closest photosphere is misplaced but shows candidate in relation to the nearby [object] that is visible on Satellite to help confirm location placement.

Pegman sounds way better than little yellow man

Great. Thanks all. Yes, it’s mostly about which photosphere. I’ve reviewed a few recently where the photosphere it defaults to is almost 100m up the road. Then when I go into the streetview and “walk” to the pin, I can see the nomination that way.

But a lot of reviewers are notoriously lazy to do this kind of thing by themselves. Nice to know what to point out in supplemental info.

    cheers

@saffagrl-PGO if you use the wayfarer+ plugin you can see immediatly what photoshpere will be used.or just put the pin on the photoshpere.
