Portal submission accepted by community, denied on e-mail

Dear Niantic team, recently I submitted a portal suggestion using Ingress. A few days ago, I received an e-mail saying that my suggestion wasn't accepted by the Ingress community. However, today I logged in my Wayfarer profile and it shows that very same suggestion as accepted by the community. I'd like to know what happened and why an accepted suggestion appeared as denied in my e-mail.
