Electricity boxes

i have seen a lot of these electricity box nominations with and without graffiti. I dont get it, it just cant be true, that this is elligble
1 of all is it not a very attrative place to be in
2 it has to be one of the more dangerous places, like i know the chance of getting hurt is low, but like this is not fun if it went wrong.
what do you guys Think? Im constently saying 1 star, inappropriate place

An electrical/utility box does not meet any criteria. Artwork on a box (I'd also say not simple graffiti) may be eligible on its own merit.
The boxes are usually along sidewalks and sometimes in residential yards (which is typically ineligible to private residential property). They are quite safe to congregate by.
As has mentioned above, art on utility boxes can be an excellent submission. The boxes themselves not at all.
I live in Oakland, which has a tremendous community of mural and other artists. Many of our electrical boxes are painted by professional and/or strong amateur artists. I'm uploading a few samples from my area. These aren't necessarily the best ones, just the ones I happened to grab by clicking around on the map.
The world is different in other countries
I also see more and more "wallpaper" or "generic/template art" applied on utility boxes.
While I agree that handmade / hand drawn art can be eligible, based on its own merit as previously said, we also must be careful with generic wallpapers used as "camouflage" by companies itself. In that latter case, I don't see how this would be eligible.
In Boise, Idaho, original art on electrical boxes was an important part of downtown rejuvenation efforts that started in 2009. Each piece is specific to an area of the city, and the art is juried. Their inclusion as wayspots is exciting both for players and those who monitor the public art & downtown rejuvenation projects.
i agree that advertising or generic art are very different matters than art such as we see in the other examples provided here.
This is bad nominations. 1*
I disagree. While I wouldn't give them 5*, these are perfectly acceptable nominations.

One of the local artists doing a great job. Like every of their designed supplies is a POIs ingame.

+ around 500 more painted supplies in the area around those POIs.
I have also successfully submitted such supplies:

Would you care to elaborate why you feel this way? Do you feel the artwork is "bad" or the utility boxes?
Previous AMAs say otherwise
With no grafiti is bad. With grafiti - not all
There's a difference between graffiti and art. I see the nominations here as artistic.
@Lechu1730-PGO, @GearGlider-ING I think there may be a language disconnect here.
When I read @JedeekPL-PGO's comments in context I think what they are saying is that a box with no art on it is a 1* candidate. I'm pretty sure we all agree on that.
I also think they are using the word "grafiti" to talk about painted boxes in general, and not just ones that have been tagged/vandalized. That's how I understand the conversation, at least.
