Dear fellow Wayfarers,
I remember there was Something with Bonus Nominations Just before covid in 2020.
niantic gave us extra Nominations, .....
I cant quite Recall what happened there, But If i remember there was Something that went under the Carpet and noone talked about it.
Can Someone fill my void? I have just lost it there.

Everyone got double the amount of nominations for a short period in March 2020, this was to make up for the double submission bug.
thank you @Hikaru588-ING - didnt we all get the double amount of nominations, but then then after 14 days we didnt get any ?
Also, they blocked submitting new nominations for a few weeks. That was mostly the reason so wayfarers could use ther collected Upgrades before they got 10 available ones.
You had 14 submissions for two weeks, after this, everythig went back to normal 7
wasnt it like we got 14 submissions, but the next time we should have gotten 7 we didnt get any?
There was a big bug a year ago causing duplicate nominations. As a way to make it back up for us, we were given double nominations - but 1) the timing coincided with when most major locations were entering lockdowns and 2) after the bonus nomination period people actually lost nominations.
@NianticCasey-ING told us we eventually get another double nomination period. I've thought about bringing it up, again, but it seems to still be in bad timing.

Due to the current public health situation in many countries blocking many people from being able to physically move around, we're going to be scheduling a repeat of this makeup. I can't confirm when because...well...we don't know how long this situation is going to last and we don't want to redo this same event with the same limitations.
I can't find the post/thread, but there was an issue where after the bonus period, if you used any of the extra nominations, you were actually deducted from your base nominations. Casey said it was not intended to happen that way and developers had allegedly tested for that, but we all know how good their product testing is.
thank you, we all should keep that in mind, that Niantic has promised something, but still has do deliver.
To be fair, the initial double-nominations event was met with hostility due to the timing.
Allowing Gallery photos for PoGO submissions would be much better. Who knows if that'll ever happen, though.
yes but i remember being rather very angry about the fact that i was promised something, and then they took away a fortnights submissions.
Adding to that the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, and the overall state of Wayfarer, there were SLIGHT improvements in both situations.
