Rejected for being in a private residential area. But it's next to the village shop on the main road

My submission was rejected because it appears to be in a private residential area or farm.

The nomination was of a statue of an owl, carved out of a tree. Construction started on it in 2003, and it was restored in 2012.

Here's a link that talks about it.

This is located next to the village shop, on a main road which runs through the village centre.

The building you can see in the back of the image here with the ramp and handrail is the shop.

Here is top down view from Google maps in which you can see it is accessible from the main road, and not in a private area.

What's the reasoning for this being rejected?

Someone propably thought it was in the front garden of a private property.

Your photos are "poor" in that they give the impression that this statue is in the front garden of a PRP. You also have a lack of Streetview for the adjacent Streets, so reviewers cannot confirm the placement of the statue on public open space. You need to take a better submission photo of the statue in better light at an angle that makes it obvious it is not in a garden, and also makes a Photosphere of the location so reviewers can see the placement exactly.
