Please help me understand why these are being rejected?

So I have been submitting Pokestops for months now, things that abide by the list such as Walking routes, hidden gems, historic significance etc etc. But these keep getting rejected over and over. I have slightly altered the title, description and angle of photos, made sure they are in decent lighting, yet some of them have been rejected 8 times now (Postbox).

And the walking / hiking route has 4 gates with signs on them but I only nominated 2 before they were rejected so I haven’t nominated the others. I plan to wait till I have 4 slots and nominate them all again.

As a player who lives in a Rural setting it’s disheartening because of my location. There isn’t a gym for two miles and I have to walk 20 minutes to the closest Pokestop (one of my successful nominations however).

So please lend me a hand and tell me what could get these stops accepted, I’m now awaiting my nominations to go back up before I can try again with them all so have a few days :) thanks a bunch!

trail marker: seems alright, maybe put the marker more in the center of the picture

post box: I am not an expert on those but I believe they dont meet the current acceptance criteria.

Is this marker at the beginning of a trial? Then title and describe it as such instead of one it appearing to be just one if innumerable markers just like it along the same trail.

The post box simply doesn't meet criteria. It's mass produced like thousands of other boxes and there is nothing historical about that particular box.

Markers for recognised named trails (such as Glyndwr's Way or the Cistercian Way) are more likely to get accepted.

Markers that just say 'Public Footpath' with an arrow on them will get rejected.

Anything in between is largely going to pot luck

I suspect your trail markers are being rejected for being generic public footpath signs. If the Caerhowel Way is an actual trail then provide some more background information about - purpose, history, website, etc.

And yes, modern post boxes are generic and not interesting. This will never be approved. You'll stand a better chance submitting something with more history (such as a Victorian post box) and something more unique (like a postbox painted gold to celebrate an Olympic athlete)
