Apearing and disapearing Stops

Hello,

a while ago 3 of my notifications were approved but never showed up as stops.

About 1 Week ago an older nearby stop that existed disapeared. Instead one of the above mentioned stops appeared.

First i thougt the "cell" (area) is full but ive seen areas with way more stops.

Did someone expierienced similar things? And what could be the problem?

Pokéstops use level 17 S2 cells to determine density, with one per cell. Prior to an update last year, location edits could bypass this rule and result in multiple Pokéstops and/or Gyms in a level 17 S2 cell. This was since fixed though so that it could no longer be exploited.

What likely happened is that your 3 nominations are all in level 17 S2 cells that are already occupied. When one of the existing Pokéstops got removed, one of yours was able to take its place as the cell became unoccupied by anything in Pokémon Go.

You can use Ingress to check whether your other two submissions are in the database (they will appear as portals if they are). If they were within 20 metres of any wayspots in Ingress or Pokémon Go though, they won't have gone live and will basically function like you never submitted them in the first place.

But thats strange. There werent other Stops on these locations in any of the 3 Games. so they should have apeared at once since they were approved. The 20 metres rule was followed.

Additional to this in other locations stops pop up like mushrooms and were within the 20 metres to other stops.

The 17 S2 thing is a bit hard to fully unterstand i have to confess but it seems so totaly random some times.
