Is there a way to correct a state name in Pokemon go for certain area showing wrong state names?

I have seen some places showing wrong state names like for example if I am in Nirman vihar area of Delhi state it shows me Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India in the gifts and other things is it possible to fix it to correct Delhi, Delhi India?

That's not a problem with Niantic games, that's down to Google/Apple and their mapping from what I gather.
The region gifts are coming from is based on s2 cells. If you got problems with street names on google, report it (right-click on the location -> report data problem). If the ingame paths are wrong, edit them on OSM.

@LukeAllStars-PGO's last sentence can be misleading, even though I'm sure it wasn't his intention.
Please NEVER edit OSM with the aim of optimizing anything for any application (Pokemon Go, navigation system, hiking apps or whatever) that is based on the OSM data!
If the data is actually entered incorrectly, the OSM community will of course be happy to receive a correction.
To be a little more specific to your problem:
The map in Pokemon Go is not continuous but rather discreet with a certain granularity. This means that individual cells, in which there are several areas, for example, are only assigned to one area. Various metrics can be used for this: e.g. the area with the largest proportion of area in the cell, the proximity to the center of an area or (probably the case in Pokemon Go) the location of the center of the cell (of course there are other methods).
At the level of discretization of the map that is relevant for gifts, there will be at least two areas in the same cell. And the cell was assigned to "Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India".
Again: Please do not edit OSM if these borders are correct!

Yep thats formulated bad, sorry. I normally try to improve the OSM, which is easy if you see where some paths actually are. I once placed a whole educational trail wrong because the OSM was the only map that has the path marked. However, it was totally off. Now, it is exactly as it really is and thats good.
