Zero reviews from my (rather remote) bonus location?
Three weeks ago I set my bonus location to Antarctica. A friend works there and still has items in the queue from last season so it seemed like an excellent place to help out an underserved area. Normally I would just choose a pin that felt like it made sense but because this is a sparse area we looked at the map carefully and I chose something that should have let me get the things in his area as well as other areas that could potentially have pending candidates. I made my choice based on the understanding that I'd get the L6 S2 cell as well as the eight surrounding ones. Since then I haven't seen a single candidate from Antarctica. In the map the pin is on my bonus location, Hoseason Island.
I'm not sure if I chose unwisely because my information was wrong, if there's something else going on that makes it more complicated, or if there's a bug/quirk in Wayfarer that affects extremely sparse areas. Anyone have insights?

Bonus location is not L6 +8, but rather L7+8. Seems like you made a big mistake.
Whoops! Thanks.
My bonus location is Palmer Station. I get nominations from both there and Vernadsky Research Base. There obviously aren't many nominations down there, but when there are things submitted, I usually find them fairly quickly due to remote submissions getting priority. I would guess that you did indeed choose poorly for your location if you're not receiving any submissions from there to review.
The area covered by a BL changed sometime last year, from L6+8 to L7+8 for some unfathomable reason. It effectively shrunk the area we can help out in to just 1/4 of what it was, and caused many people to misplace their locations. If there is one change I would want to reverse, it is that one. Just a thought; maybe you can write to Nia and explain what happened. They could open up for extra location changes during the India event, at least.
@Hosette-ING thanks anyways though. I've I've seen all the way to Chile and Argentina but I know the physical location is different then bonus.
What tool are you using to map out where that bonus location would be on the map? I didn't want to have a home location but I wanted to participate in the Russian Challenge. So when it's over i'm going to have to pick 1 of 10 states that I have lived in (military brat.) So that would kinda help me narrow it down if I can see where I would be getting submission from.
@TrevorAlan-PGO I use the S2 region coverer from Sidewalk Labs: https://s2.sidewalklabs.com/regioncoverer/
@Mormegil71-ING It's a bummer that they shrunk the location.
@Hosette-ING Cool, thanks, so just set l7 l8 and drop a pin, or draw a box? What is the current area basically the l7 and then a border of l8 around it?
@TrevorAlan-PGO It's a little fussy to use. Here's a quick tutorial.
If I want to see L7 cells I set the min and max to that and then increase max cells to more than I care about.
Down in the bottom left there are several icons. From left to right they are: Move, Rectangle, Circle, Marker, Data, and Center vew. I usually just use move and Rectangle.
Use Move and the zoom controls to find the region you're interested in.
Switch to Rectangle and select your area of interest plus some space around it just to be safe, but not so much more that you exceed the max cell count. Voila! You have a cell map. You can change min/max cell level and it will update your current selection. I've included two screenshots of a section of Antarctica.
Ah, thanks!
@Mormegil71-ING So is the current area a l7 cell with l8 cells that touch it?
For home its l6 and the eight l6 cells around it...fir bonud its l7 and the 8 l7 cells around it
@Engrish-ING Do you still need reviewers for your subs at Palmer Station?
