Basketball Court Rejection
I didn't receive a rejection email, and it's been 24hours since I noticed the rejection within Wayfarer (checked spam).
Any feedback on why this was rejected? The only current stop in this area is for the park itself, and it is attached to the sign of the park, which is a little further up the road.

Per Cell, there can only be 1 Pokéstop, this to prevent massive clustering of Pokéstops, which would happen and make the game almost unplayable, and prevent abuse in that sense. Always check the Intel Map if you submit one, as there could be a portal there.

That's...an incredibly unfortunate park.
There's a current bug where "duplicates" are being displayed as "not accepted."

5* POI -> resubmit it
Also, I am curious why this got rejected. What were the rejection reasons named in the mail?
They said they didn’t receive an email :(
I completely agree, I see nothing to make a rejection make sense.
It is a duplicate. There already is one at that spot. It seems the duplicate reason is removed, and just says "not accepted".
To show the place with the portals there.
Für mich sieht es auch nach Duplikat aus. Ich denke, dass der linke Pokestops auch auf den Basketballplatz verweist. Somit wäre die Ablehnung korrekt. Bitte einmal dahingehend überprüfen.
There is only one Pokestop in the park, and it is the park sign:
Why would there be Ingress Portals there but not Pokestops? Is it just that they haven't synced yet? I submitted this stop 4 months ago, and there still isn't anything there. I submitted the playground there too (still in queue).
Still no rejection email :(
I've submitted a bunch of stops, some going back 6 months at this point. The only way I can get a decision on them is to upgrade them. It's not so bad to do enough reviews to earn upgrades, but if I'm going to have to resubmit valid ones multiple times before they get accepted, then that's not cool. Is this how it typically works? I'm new to Wayfarer and have yet to get a nomination approved (0/2, 7 pending).

Interesting .. where can I see that map? It seems weird that Wayfarer wouldn't give me this info before going through 6 months of submission queue. And I used my next upgrade on the playground, which is now lost I guess :(
Use the Ingress Intel map - you need an ingress account.
@Pennywized-PGO For map, make a search for "iitc and pogo tools".
Found it. Thanks! This is super helpful
Glad you found the tools to help. There are lots of active groups that would probably love to help out. Below is a video that I know many people have found helpful that walks through a lot of the steps and also links a Wayfarer Discord discussion group.
Niantic has hinted at trying to implement better duplicate nominations detection from the front end of the submissions tool, but they've also been hinting at it for almost as long as nominations have been live. It's very unfortunate Niantic hasn't invested more into a better user experience, but here we are several years down the road still feeling like we're using a pre-beta version.
Anyways, the attitude of learning is typically better than just complaining, and hopefully you'll be able to use the info to find other eligible candidates and not waste future time.
