Venue-Specific Murals at Guzman Y Gomez.
Apart from all the interesting artworks I've been seeing at Starbucks, I'd like to ask about these murals painted specifically for the Mexican franchise Guzman Y Gomez (GYG):
This artwork above is one of the many artworks found at numerous Guzman Y Gomez stores in Australia. Someone else had attempted these during the generic business era, but that was often the reject reason. The artwork above is named Crop, by artist Sanez and is located at GYG Kawana¹.
These artworks are part of a commission of a mexican art collection by ARTO Group. Each artwork references the particular restaurant it is commissioned for, the energy is creates and the general demographic of the area (the people). For example, Kwinana above references the agricultural sector in the Rockhampton region, and Kirrawee below references the seaside vibes of the Cronulla area. Each artwork has its own plaque, an example below shows the artworks' name, creation year and artist.
Are these worth a shot at nomination?
