What's up with Russian photos showing blank?

I've stumbled upon an unexpected problem reviewing nominations in Russia.
Some portal photos are not showing up properly on the Check for duplicate-task. That makes it really difficult!
Most of Russian reviews are nominations from Karelia. I have no problems with photos on Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and Danish nominations.
Does this affect more reviewers? Or is my phone just acting stupid...

Those POIs have been added by Niantic using the data of 4square. There are still a lot of Strange POIs in the system like McDonalds, any random companies, wh***houses, ...
