I assigned my bonus location to Russia and reviewed several dozen portals during the challenge timeframe. I did not receive any rewards.
Please fix this.

You needed to change your Home Location, not your Bonus Location, thus the issue.
That's not true. Some people with bonus location got rewards.
I also changed my home location to Russia and didn’t get any upgrades. I think it’s because I only saw maybe a half a dozen Russian reviews during the challenge. For some reason I continued to get reviews for my original home location. I posted several times here about it. At least I was able to change my home location back so I didn’t get stuck in Russia forever. Bummed though. I spent a lot of time trying to participate :(
