Decency filter blocks submission

Dear colleagues, Yesterday I tried to nominate a sign, but after pushing publish, I got message that blinked very briefly on the screen saying something that there is some words that are not allowed in portal names.
the suggestion was ”Sattulan vene” which translates directly as ”The boat of Sattula”
the boat being the symbol of the village, of course
I am still missing what is the exact reason for rejecting the name?

There’s another thread where @NianticCasey-ING said Niantic’s lawyers are requiring them to use a naughty-word filter anywhere players can communicate with each other.
The filter is not very intelligent, nor is the requirement. It all results in far-fetched naughty concepts being shoved in your face, insulting the originator where no one would have thought anything wrong if not for the censorship.
In your case, you can try using a different word in place of ‘vene’ for boat. Maybe the filter thinks it has s.e.xual connotations.
If Sattulan Barco (or whatever) isn’t permitted, maybe some letters in the place name are blocked for imagined vulgarity in some other language or culture.
Niantic needs to rethink the entire issue. Until then, maybe use misspelling or extra punctuation to get around the filter, and then ask Casey to fix the name after approval.
