Upgraded nomination remains in queue

Hi,
I would like to report what I think it's a bug. As far as I know, a nomination that receives an upgrade automatically goes "in voting", but I'm having one still in queue already for two days. It's "Ruinas Castillo de San Martín", as per the following image:
Could you please investigate what is wrong, in case it's not intended?
As additional data, the upgrade was automatically given to that nomination, as it was my only one at that point.

About a month ago I applied an upgrade to it, but it still hasn't left the queue. I've had multiple others be approved since submitting this nomination. Many others appear to be stuck in voting, but that's another issue.

I recently used upgrade next on it but if it will not work as you say then RIP my upgrade
Same here asked in the old ingress wayfarer and still has not been addressed.

Stoped reviewing because my nominations are stuck in voting
Firstly, just note that an Upgrade does not increase the speed of transition from In Queue to In Voting. It just increases the visibility and range of reviewers, once it's in In Voting.
Secondly, I've got one submission from August, and a pile of submissions from November and December also waiting in various stages of queue and voting. The issue is simply that there aren't enough reviewers for the blast of submissions since Wayfarer went cross product. The submissions far outweigh the reviews.
That's why I say you should have to review to have more than 1 submission a week.
@Perringaiden-ING when a nomination is "stuck" in queue for months and resubmitting the exact same thing and it gets resolved faster, then something is wrong. When a nomination is "stuck" in queue for months and you apply an upgrade and it promptly changes to "in voting", then something is wrong.
@Roli112-ING In terms of "Apply an upgrade and it promptly changes to voting", that "shouldn't" be happening. As for the other, NFI, but like you know, there are a bunch that got stuck at one point, but otherwise they've been slowly moving through.

@Perringaiden-ING I don't think that's the case, at least for my nomination . I've had other nominations submitted after this one in the same area go through and pass fairly quickly. There's some sort of bug where this nomination is simply stuck.
@Perringaiden-ING that's false ;) They go in voting way faster when upgraded. In Brussel, 2-6 month to go in voting when normal submission and instantly to a few day when upgraded ;)
The old upgrades that are blocked are due to a bug as said by casey. They are now being reviewed by niantic as a temporary bypass of the problem
Now I'm going to have to go find the Community post where they said that Upgrades don't affect going into Voting...

But it says that upgrades don't affect "In voting"... it's totally confusing.
I had a nomination stuck in queue since November myself and managed to contact Niantic support. They just gave me a generic cop out answer and didn't solve anything.
So I withdrew the nomination since I knew Niantic weren't going to help and my other half decided to renominated it... and it's stuck again.

So my nomination finally passed today. Never left "in queue," skipped "in voting" and went directly to "accepted."
Well me and my son are Out of this. We didnt get submissions from Here to Review, so we only can review remote places.
Also Our upgrades still do Not move. Unless @NianticCasey-ING is changing The system to Work better we are Not working for Niantic
Several times, Niantic has indicated that upgrades don't necessarily pull things from queue and into voting, just that they expedite it to closure if already in voting. (Anecdotally, however, nominations upgraded from queue still typically go into voting pretty fast.)
There also tends to be a "cooldown" period that blocks a nomination from going into voting for the first 24 (or more) hours. This allows users to proofread their submissions and helps avoid abuse.

Thanks for your answer. Since I didn't find any clear statement about this specific fact, I thought it was the usual intention, based on previous experiences.
It would be a nice idea to add then to the basic information about upgrades, FAQ, etc. Just a suggestion.
All upgrade means is that it will be seen by a wider reviewer pool than it normally would have. It doesn't mean that the nominations goes into voting faster or that it gets pushed ahead of other nominations.

Well that’s interesting that you say your upgraded nominations in OPR instantly went into voting, because back then we didn’t get that level of detail. We either knew it was upgraded or not, no additional status.
The upgrade issue that started in December has been fixed. The issue wasn’t related to in queue or in voting. Specific upgraded nominations were not being prioritized what so ever whether It was in voting or not. You could have had a upgraded nomination in voting with that glitch and it wasn’t upgraded in reality. So unrelated issue to what you are even saying.
Also, you can have friends reviewing all you want it doesn’t mean they will see or not see your nomination. A lot of times my friends never see my upgraded nominations before they are approved because upgrades are sent to a wider audience when they do make it to voting.
Upgrades do seem to help move nominations to queue faster sometimes but not always. Their meant to prioritize the nomination once it is in voting to be seen by more players more often. Not to move or form queue.
Same Problem here. A few days ago, it worked perfectly. I upgrated a submission and some hours later it was in voting.
Now my last 3 submissons (all upgrated) won't reviewed for days. So I'll stop for now do reviews in wayfarer.

This is not a bug. Wayfarer is not FIFO, and upgrades don't put nominations into voting faster.
Of course, my Upgrades did always go directly in vote and now nothing happens...
I've had one UPGRADED/IN QUEUE now for 3 days.
There's no logic behind this. Last time I had one upgraded, nothing happened for a day, next day got an upgrade (on a newer nomination) and it went into voting directly. First one went into voting about a day later... 🤷♂️

it will depend of how many people review around your area...it is not a bug, it takes time to get accepted or rejected
so, be patient ;)
