Park without a sign

We have a small local park, identified as such on Google maps. It's basically a square section of land with a duck pond in the middle and some room around it to walk. There are a couple of fountains in the pond.
I've submitted it as a park and noted in the comments that you can see it's a park on Google. Based on the guidance I'm not sure this is completely valid. I could resubmit as "__ Park Fountains" but my understanding is that fountains in ponds aren't really acceptable either anymore, although this pond is small enough that the portal/stop would be reachable from the shore.
Any guidance on if or how to properly or best submit such a park? It's a nice little space, but there isn't a formal park sign.

Niantic has requested that parks have some sort of sign in order to be eligible. If no sign exists then you can try nominating eligible things within the park instead. It sounds like the fountains you're referring to are in the ponds in which case they are considered ineligible as there isn't safe pedestrian access.
Any chance you can contact your city parks department and request working alongside them to install a little free library or nature conservation signs? My park installed several signs to educate about "bioretention cells," native prairie grasses, rain gardens, and more.
