Massive abuse, including Disguising location (Case at Izumi-City)

Hi, @NianticGiffard .

What do you think of a being strapped to a tree branch, or a board suspended from a tree branch?

That's a bit vague, isn't it?

Let's continue with the details of this story.

One such application I reviewed some time ago.

The application was for a plaque tied to a tree branch.

The applicant described as "this is a trail marker".

I rejected it, but when I checked today it was online as Wayspot.

The application is in Japanese, so let me translate it into English for you.

Title:

Trailmarker 17 信太の森コース

Trailmarker 17 Shinta Forest course

This was written in the help.

Because it was a named trail course (natural sidewalk), I have applied for this trail as it meets the adventurous criteria.

As it is an institutionally maintained programme trail, if it is damaged or destroyed, it will be repaired in its original position.

A map of the course is available on the webpage and has been used in the supplementary photos. Please use it to help you find your way around.

Here is the information about this Wayspot.

Intel Map

IITC

I don't understand why at all, but The Wayspots created in this region are always within the yellow diamond shown in the IITC, so it looks like they are created to be placed one at a time.

This is true not only for Shinoda-no-mori, where the Wayspot is located, but also for the area around Kurotoriyama Park, which is located to the southwest of the Wayspot.

The object applied for is a tag, which is mainly just a number, strapped to one of the trunks of a branching shrub.

This bracketed shrub can die, its trunk can be burnt off in a thunderstorm, or it can be cut down.

The tree is a plant and not a permanent one.

If this shrub disappears,

the tag "No.17" will only be attached at another location away from this site.

In the first place, we do not know how long this "walking track" will be in place.

As it is only tied to a tree, it is possible for the management to move it around at will or

They can be moved around, withdrawn or re-established elsewhere at will.

There is no permanence in this tag being tied to the tree.

It is still part of the walk, as "No. 17".

But if you ask me whether it qualifies as a POI, I would say a definite NO.

Let me give you a clearer example.

There are Google Street Views of this area taken by the same applicant.

Let's take a look at one of them together.

Zoom

You can see it's noticeably worse than the "Trailmarker 17 Shidanomori course(This one has gone ONLINE as Wayspot.), hey?

The tag "No.12" is not even tied to the trunk of the tree.

It's just hanging from the branches of a tree.

Next. No.11.

No.11, which is also just hanging on a tree branch.

It can be moved to any place. It will not be in this place forever.

No.10.

I've given you a few examples of this, but I'm not just questioning the fact that a tag that is just strapped to a tree branch is a Wayspot.

I will now explain why I think so.

Case:No.2

Let's take a look at the No.2 tag, which has already been turned into a Wayspot.

Google Street View

IITC

From the nearest Google Street View it is possible to see the "No. 2" tag.

But wait.

Take a closer look here.

Open by GoogleMap

If you open the Wayspot information in Google Maps, you will see that the "No. 2" tag (In oter words, Wayspot Title of the Wayspot:トレイルマーカー 2 信太の森コース)from Google Maps is directly south of you.

However, if you actually check from Google Street View, it does not exist directly south.

Surprisingly, it turns out that it must lie to the south-east of where Google Street View was taken.

This proved that the applicant had lied about the location of the subject of the application.

When I consider the position in Google Maps,

the position in Wayspot, and the actual location "No.2) of the object in Google Street View.

The red circles show where the Wayspot was supposed to be.

The applicant, Use "No. 2" tag (In oter words, Wayspot Title of the Wayspot:トレイルマーカー 2 信太の森コース)" to gain some advantage in order to take advantage in Pokémon GO. It is very possible that you have made a false application.

I think this is a serious issue that we need to consider in conjunction with the fact that a plate that is just hung on a tree is not a Wayspot with permanence.

In fact, the latter may be considered the more serious abuse and offence.

Now, are these the only ONLINE Wayspots that should be under suspicion,No.17 and No.2 mentioned above?

In the Shidanomori area alone, this tag just hanging from a tree is a "trail marker! The following are among those that have been applied for and wayspotted as

A list will be provided.

Title of the Wayspot:トレイルマーカー16 信太の森コース

Location:https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=34.488017,135.446764&z=17

Google Street View

According to Google Street View, the "No.16" tag is northwest of the location where the photo was taken.

However, the Wayspot is set directly north, ahead of the point where the photo was taken.

(C)

Title of the Wayspot:トレイルマーカー15 信太の森コース

Location:https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=34.488157,135.447438&z=17

Plate No. 15, which should be just west of where Google Street View was taken.

However, the location of the Wayspot has been shifted significantly to the north.

Checking with the IITC, we can see that the Wayspop has been falsified so that it crosses the yellow line and is ONLINE.

Here again, please see the two ITIC screens for the wider area quoted above. There is one Wayspot for each yellow diamond, and when you combine this with the location disguise that we have just uncovered, don't you think there is an answer that emerges?

I believe that a number of other deceptions and abuse have taken place at this location.

Due to the character limit, we could not report the report in one go.

We will continue to keep you informed using the comments section.

I would appreciate a detailed investigation into this applicant.
