Edits seem to have frozen

Ive made plenty of edits in the past. With no issue. Whether that be title, location, photo uploads or description.

On average they would take a couple of weeks to be accepted or rejected.

However edits submitted since April have not been accepted or rejected. I appreciate that it can take time to get them reviewed, but this is incredibly unusual for my area as they would usually be reviewed very quickly.

Im worried their is something behind the scenes that is causing the submissions to fail or glitch.

ive submitted multiple edits/photos since April and nothing has been rejected/accepted.

as we don’t have access to submitted edits I can’t even see if they are showing as submitted, other than the confirmation emails.

@NianticCasey-ING ive tried contacting in game support, but they are being no help either.

All my edits since April have failed to be accepted or rejected. Since I started wayfarer, these would typically take 2 weeks, so an over 2 month wait is extremely unusual.

its not as of it’s just one edit being an issue, al of them have failed to receive a verdict.

in contrast my POi nominations have continued to be reviewed and rejected or accepted. Just the edits have frozen.

My last batch of POI submissions have all taken under a week to be accepted/rejected.

But my edit suggestions have continued to be non existent. 3 months am counting in the system. Something weird is going on for sure @NianticCasey-ING

In game support are refusing to help, describing it as normal. which I really think it isn’t, so would love someone to look into it, as I’m sure something has glitched.

The time it needs is highly variable depending on number of reviewers and area. I have edits in the cell north of where I live taking a year but the ones in the cell I live in are taking a week or 2. For nominations it is the opposite.

I’m only basing my hypothesis on the fact that edits in similar if not the same cells that previously took a week have remained unapproved or approved for over 3 months now.

i have subsequently submitted half a dozen or so edits after this date and now all of them continue to be unapproved or approved.

Im sure I could pinpoint a submission that prior to the submission everything took a week to get edited, and after that submission nothing has happened.

it’s night and day, and I’ve only been making edits in two areas, essentially around where I live updating photos and names/descriptions or around where I work.

I really do understand there is a degree of variability but for everything prior to April, to only take and week or so to be approved vs everything after April to be stuck neither approved/unapproved seems a little suspicious no?

as you can’t see these submissions for edits in wayfarer I can’t even say they are stuck “in voting” for all I know the edit suggestions have been lost, apart from the confirmation email you know no further details.

Nominations in both the areas also only take a week or so.

Up until now I have felt I must have been in a area with active reviewers,

maybe it was just one person who decided to stop reviewing lol

Is it even possible for the team to look into stalled edits, I’m happy even if all the edit suggestions were deleted in an attempt to “reboot” the system.

Do not delete and resubmit or even submit a new suggestion on same poi, it resets it but it is most likely stuck from lack of votes. The only thing that works is patience.

Edits are only handled by reviewers in scoring cell. Nominations are handled by that one and the adjacent ones.

Ive spotted a few other posts reporting similar issues. Perhaps I’m not alone.
