He confessed that he had deliberately shifted his location. (Case at Hodogaya Ward)
Hi, @NianticGiffard .
Today I was in charge of the examination of a bridge on the motorway and I am sending you my report.
There are some points worth noting about this application, which I will discuss below.
In the supplementary information, in Japanese, it is written: "高速道路上に架かる橋なので位置を橋の上ではなく手前の階段にしました。”.
This translates into English as
"As the bridge is over a motorway, the position is not on the bridge, but on the stairs in front of it.
In the first place, it is just an overpass.
In the first place, it is only an overpass and is therefore subject to refusal.
The applicant confessed in the supplementary information that he had deliberately shifted the location.
I am sending you a report on this matter.
I noticed this on IntelMap.
It's a shame, but it seems that the bridge over the motorway, to the east of where the application was made, is already ONLINE as a Wayspot.
Title of the Wayspot:清水ヶ丘公園西橋
Location:https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=35.439707,139.602807&z=18
Original Photo
Google Street View
The number of highway overpasses in Kanagawa Prefecture where this application has been made is 331 as of 2014.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan has published a PDF file.
(Japnase Only)
I would like you to investigate the following two points
First.
The applicant has deliberately confessed to the dislocation in the supplementary information.
Secondly.
About who applied for and who approved the Wayspot, a bridge over the motorway, in the east.

There is nothing wrong with that nomination, the pin is placed at the stairs that are part of the bridge, I'd you think the bridge is not acceptable then reject it, no need to waste anyone's time over a simple nomination calling it abuse when it's not.
You said,"There is nothing wrong with that nomination. "
However I can not understand you say that.
"Generic bridges should be rejected."
Hi, @NianticGiffard .
I have today examined the application for a bridge over the highway,Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture and I am reporting it on to you.
If you think that the nomination should be rejected then do it, that's your job in Wayfarer.
But don't ask to investigate as abuse everything that you don't like.
@MagicalThorn-ING Is this bridge for exercise, exploration & socializing with others? It may technically be a good location to adventure as long as it’s not for automobiles. I’m not local to the area so I’ll leave it up to you because I am positive that you know the answer wherein I do not
Reject it, then. But not every bad nomination is abuse. This nomination is at a correct location and represents an existing object that's safe to approach. There's nothing abusive about it.
Like I said, if you think it needs to be rejected then rejected. There is no abuse here from the nominator... From you, that's a different story.
Hi there, @MagicalThorn-ING! We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the Wayspot in accordance with our policies. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
@NianticGiffard I am unsure if this wayspot broke any rules. Upon closer examination it looks as if this is a bridge to be used for walking. Therefore it should be a great place to explore, for exercise & can even be used to be social as well. It looks as if sidewalks lead to it as well. If this is the case I believe that a bad decision was made somewhere & if this was a wayspot it should be restored, & if the wayfinder was punished their punishment should be revoked.
This can act as a lesson to users who don’t understand that places such as this are great places for exploration because they meet all categories as listed above. A great place to visit that I am sure is used a lot daily. This could be why the pin was placed where it was because that is where the photo was probably taken. Therefore I’d assume they just placed the pin where they took the photo.
@MagicalThorn-ING If you don’t like footbridge nominations I recommend just rejecting them. The community is not 100% against these. I for one am a major advocate for these & strongly believe that it should be a POI in game.
It seems that Niantic didn't remove the wayspot, they just moved it to the sidewalk. So, Niantic has rejected most of his appeals.
