The rejection reason "submitter identifiable" is located under the "photo quality" section. We are not intended to judge the supporting photo, so I only consider that issue on the nomination photo.
(had a wall of text and reduced it to that comment)
I actually got a submitter identifiable rejection for a nomination where the shadow of my arm was in the full photo, but i didn't see it in the preview box. I resubmitted the exact same wording and placement with a new photo on a cloudy day and it was accepted.
There are people that are always looking for an excuse to reject any nomination.
A shadow, a slightly tilted photo, a spelling mistake, a restaurant that doesn't have three Michelin stars...
The latest trend in Japan to report as abuse things that should be just rejected or even worse: nominations that follows the guidelines but the reviewer doesn't like, is a good reason to give up any hope in Wayfarer. <- Give up hope because Giffard is accepting those reports and saying Thank you instead of closing them.
Well said. And we aren’t here for that. We are all here to help each other. We all need to do better. All of us. I appreciate everyone here for their time. Time is not free
I had a nomination for a bowling alley and my support photo happened to catch a commercial on the multiple big screens that were on the walls. My nomination was tanked due to a face in the support photo per my rejection email.
I don’t think I have ever used the Submitter Identifiable rejection reason but to be fair to the OP, identifiers in the supporting information are definitely a thing, whether it’s their bike, dog, or a certain phrase.
They don’t necessarily have to be signaling for an acceptance, they could be using it as a way to let their people know not to move the pin or vice versa.
I would have to see the same identifier multiple times and see something not right stemming from it to consider the Submitter Identifiable rejection though. Even then, I don’t think that would be the correct decision over using an abuse reason or making a report here.
It takes a lot of nerve to stand here and say you're being attacked, when you yourself do the exact same thing. I'm not attacking you, you do that to yourself pretty well already. I'm stating a fact: You are abusing the system as much as those you crucify for abusing the system. You are actively rejecting valid submissions on a personal belief that you can identify the submitter by their supporting photos.
Yet when asked to provide evidence of repeated photos, you failed to do so. It's all a big pot of IFS and MAYBES. And the worst part is, a MODERATOR is actively sitting here watching you do this, while turning a blind eye.
As i stated before, you do what you have/want to do, Niantic clearly doesn't care about abuse, their priorities are completely upside down, and i can only hope what happened to Blizzard follows suit here. When you sell your integrity for dollars, that's rock bottom.

The elitism in Wayfarer is at an all time high.

Same can be said for supporting text, but many abuse rings have communicated their nominations using identifiers in the supporting text.
True, but those are generally easier to spot and to prove intent.
