Why was this memory bench rejected?

Where I live I see loads of memory benches with wayspots, so I thought for sure this one would go through hassle-free, instead of wasting my upgrade:
Help me understand what went wrong. The email is devoid of useful information:
"This nomination has been rejected due to the following reason(s):
Nomination does not meet acceptance criteria."
This sort of thing makes me just want to stop reviewing/trying to get new wayspots.

Because the rejection reason is correct. These benches don't meet any of the eligibility criteria. Just because there is a "memorial" plate on a bench doesn't mean that the person was significant.
Sooo.... since I can think of literally dozens of these in my city - none of which have any significant name on them - should I collect them all up and submit them for mass deletion?
The criteria for removal are very different from the eligibility criteria. While the criteria for removal is made up of part of the rejection criteria, just because something doesn't meet the eligibility criteria is not grounds for removal. This is also why you should never judge the eligibility of an object based on the existence of other Wayspots.
Memorial benches are not eligible unless they are for a noteworthy member of the community
Memorial benches used to meet eligibility requirements, but no longer do unless the individual memorialized is somehow significant (which should be included in the nomination). The rejection and reason are correct.
