Appeal Accepted - Thanks for the appeal, Agent. Based on the evidence provided, we’ve moved the Portals to the correct location.
All those changes has resulted not only in correction of actual position of the portals / pokestops / gyms however you call this in different games (which would be good move) but degradation of PGO Gyms to Pokestops.
Please review again situation before that change and after.
Local community is not satisfied with that change especially as it is based on "accurate" position.
When PGO Trainer makes nomination in the app, he cannot control where exaclty it will be pinned. Another thing is size of the Pokestop / Gym. Look at the last edition for example. It moves 3.7m towards building. Why not the other side of it? Building has about 100x100m Why not in the gometrical center of it?
Local PGO community looks at this as hostile degradation of infrastructure not correction of the Portal location itself.
I am surprised that Niantic lowers its income by decreasing number of Gyms where PGO Trainers can spend money during Raid Hours. Of course with current remote raids we do not need so many of Gyms, but I have understood that Niantic encourage Trainers to return to parks, streets, outdoors but this change is completely against it.
One more thing.
I would react sooner if I would know location of those portals were appealed. Maybe a good idea would be to have information in the Portal / Gym / Pokestop that some changes are going to happned in next let say 10 days (and counting down) and gives us time to login to Wayfarer portal and express our opinions, before you accept this just in 2 days since original post.
I get that a decrease of the ingame network is not that nice. However, some of the POIs were intentionally misplaced. In this case, it's the submitters' fault. Also, locals could have edited the POIs by themself by checking the cells and trying to edit at the best time to save POIs. That's what I did. No abuse, just a good plan.
Niantic normally only edits POIs when they are sure the edit is correct. So a cooldown time for edits would be quite unnecessary.
@NianticGiffard Would you explain, as you have accepted appeal, what is the point to move around submitted portals?

This is a fountaine with sculpture in the center.
How anybody could do two things: take picture showing that fountaine and at the same time be in the exact centre of it?

This is the most beautiful Ortodox Church in the City.
How is possible to take picture showing whole building not beeing about 20 meters away?
For some reason, I even do not know why those submitions become gyms.
Then one of the very active editor / agent submitted en mass several corrections without beeing physically in those locations, which resulted in degradation of those gyms to pokestops. Not right after creation of those pokestops / gyms but several months later.
From evidence point you might be right and at the same time wrong.
Why he has chosen those arbitrary "correct" locations?
Does really center of the fountain matter? Does someone need to stand on the street to take picture of the Church?
What is the point? Are those POIs fake? Not at all.
I have seen that LukeAllStars-ING has correctly reported many fake and abused POIs, but I am afraid that you @NianticGiffard trust him too much and not look at each case carefully.

The place where the POI should be is not the place where the photo was taken.
The correct location is where the POI is located.
Could you be more specific and tell me where in the case of correction #9 this POI is located?
@pdurys-PGO As @LukeAllStars-ING has said in other posts, the goal of his location edits is not really to improve the Wayfarer database, but to remove extra gyms in Pokemon Go.
That's why he's requesting these micro-edits in order to abuse the new checks added by Niantic to prevent abuse of location edits.
I never said that my only intention is to remove Pokestops. All I said is that there are misplaced POIs that would disappear after editing since the cells got abused. So don't say my intention is to decrease the network/not to improve the network. I never (intentionally) tried to edit a POI to a wrong location. Just because most of the locals say that, doesn't mean it's really true. And they already proofed to me that they are lying in multiple "No that's a wrong edit" posts.
Also, as long as the edit is correct, you cant name it abuse. If you do so, it's your decision. I know what I am doing.
Number 9 was misplaced by a quite big distance. When checking the Intel map, I saw that the POI disappeared from the Intel. It was not my intention to remove the POI, all I wanted was to put it at the correct spot. Why it got removed is unknown and would not make sense at all.
