If it was your 1st attempt, then you have to wait a month to get the 2nd attempt.
If you fail twice, then you can't make it again
Maybe Niantic is working on an improved test. Maybe people who failed the old one twice, will be able to try again.
I hope so. It isn't clear you have only 2 attempts available. If people knew that, they would study more.
Euhm, before taking the test I was fully aware that I only had 2 chances. So I read and studied the criteria, more than once, before taking the test.
I passed on my first attempt, after reading the criteria the test isn't that complicated.
If you ever had a test at school, would you study in advance or would you just give it a go ?
it is like drivers license here in germany. if you fail too often, they will not give you another chance.
The drivers teacher informs the office (Selma and Patty) that there is no chance.
Maybe after taking the "MPU" (Medical-Psychological-Visitation) Test there will be another try. But if you fail that, its curtains.
-> What do we learn from that? Under normal circumstances, if you TRAIN hard enough, you will have the chance to pass the first attempt.
If you fail the second time, there is something wrong. Maybe you have not read the papers?
I just asked a friend to start the Wayfarer process to see what it looked like these days. This is right above the 'Start Test" button:
If you think you are ready to go to the test, please click below. Note that there are a limited number of quiz retries, so please take this seriously. Are you ready?
This also exists in the Wayspot Review FAQ:
I failed the test to become a Wayfinder. When will I be able to retake it?
You will only be able to retake the test once after a 30 day waiting period. If you fail for a second time, you will not be able to retake the test again.
The first one certainly tells you that you can't just keep taking the test until you pass, and the second documents the specific number of tries.
The first of these is actually misleading. There is not a limited number of retries, plural; you get only one retry, singular.
